I mean yeah I know, but it's usually just like once a month any other time, but now everyone is pumping out some garbage about TNA dying again.

I'm not sure what their ratings are like but I thought I read that they were around 800,000-900,000. Not a huge amount of people but being able to get those kind of viewers every week I think is enough to make a network take a shot on them.
Very rare for TNA to get under a million.

If TNA ever loses Spike, they're done. No question about it. Outside of WWE, wrestling just isn't popular enough. TNA's not going to be getting much if any interest.

I think TNA could be better off IF another network is willing to give them a chance. but that is a big risk for another network. I also only see that happening IF Spike chooses to not reup with TNA.
I have to think there is another network where TNA could do well enough on that network compared to other shows on that network.

would A&E ever give TNA a chance? TNA could do just as good as shows like Duck Dynasty, Storage Wars, or whatever else is on that network.

800-900K viewership is respective to the network, they won't get the same number elsewhere, on CMT for instance the viewership would be significantly lower. Besides TNA usually does 0.37 average rating in 18-49 demographic which is well below what's typically demanded of a primetime TV show by advertisers. Without 9pm prime time, the ratings would be even lower which would inturn mean considerably lower rights fees.

Its not looking good for TNA in any case.

TNA could stream their show online. They might even do better that way, since they can then pull in some people that have been streaming ilegally. Or, they'll die.

END HOMOPHOBOPHOBIA!

Can't we get past the point in our society where people STILL think it's wrong to be a homophobe? Hating gays isn't a choice- you were born that way. Be who you are!

Re: TNA Officials Concerned About Their Future With Spike TV & WWE Possibly Replacing

With so many problems for TNA(possibly losing their Spike deal, losing Orlando Studios, not making enough money on the road, not being able to re-sign top talent) it seems inevitable they're going to go the same way as WCW at this stage. Sad but true.

I'm guessing Vince would like to get a deal with Viacom too if he knows it will kill off TNA. TNA may not be much of a threat to WWE now, but if there's another boom in the wrestling industry and TNA get a big investor down the line, the WWE could end up in a position like they were in 96-97. Killing off TNA would insure Vince that he'll be on top of this industry for a long time to come.

If WWE does end up on Spike couldn't they just stream Impact through their site.

Who's going to subsidise that? a few adverts which probably wouldn't even cover production costs let alone wrestlers salaries

They're going to die if they go that route. They need a channel willing to air their product, otherwise they aren't going to be getting much in return for producing their shows.

Either TNA Impact stays on Spike TV or they're done. I really can't see anyone willing to take a show like TNA Impact that doesn't have a lot of appeal and doesn't exactly get you the best ratings.
