Its not TNA's choice. They'd probably want TNA shows on every night on every channel if they had their way. But TNA have had second shows and specials on before, and they always bomb. TNA countdown shows, Reaction, Epics. They draw horribly and aren't seen again. Impact draws around 1.0/1.1 million viewers a week. Main Event draws 1/5 of WWE's flag ship audience. Imagine how few people would watch Xplosion? You'd be looking at around 300,000 people watching it. Xplosion isn't a very interesting show to anyone who isn't a super hardcore fan. Its like 2 job matches and highlights.
Reaction actually pretty decent in the ratings. They drew anywhere between 600,000-1.1 million viewers. Apparently that wasn't good enough for Spike, though I'm not sure how many other shows drew as well for them at that time.
If Xplosion were on TV and they were treating like a proper second show rather than a show for midcarders and jobbers, with significant storyline progression on it, I could see it drawing between 700,000-900,000 viewers. Not sure if any network would want that though since no network is keen to pick it up, not even Spike.
