The AJ Styles "tour" is a great example of TNA's growing relationships with other promotions in different territories. But I would love to see a World Cup run again, with guys from Wrestle 1 and AAA amongst others.

I might even be on for an invasion angle, but Aces and 8s has burned me so badly we'd better not see that for a few years at least.... But maybe at some point....

EXCLUSIVE: Details On TNA-NTV Japan Talks, Rival Promotions Considered And More
Quote:

As we reported earlier , TNA and Nippon Television’s G+ sports channel have solidified a multi-year agreement to continue airing TNA programming on their network. It is believed the deal keeps TNA programming in Japan for at least 3 years. Impact Wrestling and pay per view events will air on their usual time slots with re-runs airing at least twice a week. On average, TNA airs on G+ in various times 3 times per week filling in programming slots when there are no western sporting events to air. Impact Wrestling is aired more than any other wrestling promotion carried on G+. Today's schedule has TNA airing for 4 hours non-stop.

The move was mutually pushed for by both TNA and NTV in order to keep prominent western organization on their networks and other factors including NOAH and Wrestle-1. G+ generally caters to more western sporting content so the move to continue to air TNA was logical. However there is currently still a bit of uncertainty looming around Pro Wrestling NOAH which also airs on NTV G+. Their programming has mostly been relegated to special events and bigger shows from the last half of their tours. Wrestle-1 also signed a television agreement with GAORA immediately after announcing their first event which left NTV with another promotion out of their reach. GAORA now airs All Japan Pro Wrestling and its splinter group Wrestle-1.

Pro wrestling has picked up a bit in Japan thanks to the renewed popularity of New Japan Pro Wrestling. It is expected that TNA will begin to push and promote TNA in Japan a bit more although the source i spoke to admitted that ideas that have been thrown around must make sense financially. Currently, TNA and NTV have collaborated on giving away lots of TNA Merchandise to Japanese Wrestling fans via giveaways promoted on Impact Wrestling In Japan and on NTV's G+ website. This month's giveaway is a guitar signed by TNA Founder Jeff Jarrett.

Those doubting TNAInsider as a source should know that they have often broken news of new international TV deals for TNA before any other wrestling site (or TNA themselves) have.

TNA Wrestling Signs Multi-Year Television Deal In Japan As International Growth Continues

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING has continued its recent global expansion by signing a new multi-year agreement with Nippon Television Network Corporation (NTV) in Japan.

NTV channel G+ will continue to air TNA IMPACT WRESTLING every Saturday night at 10pm, as well as broadcasting TNA’s monthly PPV and One Night Only events.

nipponOther sports shown on the station include NFL, NASCAR, MotoGP and international soccer. It also broadcasts baseball games featuring Japan’s most famous team, Yomiuri Giants.

G+ started showing TNA IMPACT WRESTLING in January 2013, bringing the most innovative experience in professional wrestling to Japan for the first time ever.

TNA Executive Vice President, Andy Barton, said: “TNA IMPACT WRESTLING has enjoyed phenomenal success during our first year of broadcast on Japanese television and we are very excited about this new multiple-year commitment with Nippon Television’s G+.

“It’s another example of the success we are enjoying around the world, which also includes new deals in France and Portugal and a very successful launch on Sony SIX in India.”

G+ can be found on the satellite platform Sky PerfecTV! and various cable networks across Japan.

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING is currently the No1 rated weekly wrestling programme in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The show also airs in more than 120 other countries around the world.

Please provide an explanation as to how your argument has anything to do with TNA going out of business soon. That's what he was talking about. Now you want to talk about something else, whether or not this deal is an "improvement" on their last international distribution deal. What you're doing is typical bullshit internet arguing, you want to push opinion 1 but can't support it so you'll argue about something else and act like it supports your opinion 1 when it has nothing do with it.

Zero idea what you are jibbering jabbering about here.

Again:

Please provide any evidence that this is an improvement on their last deal please.

As people are acting like this is a new deal with new money coming into the company rather than a renew of a deal that was around when TNA was cutting 35% of their talent and taking Impact off the road.

This is an extension of the deal they had. Not a new ideal. This is hardly news.

Good for TNA. At least they are not being canceled.

But at the end of the day, they are an american company, and they need to improve their exposure... in america... And they aren't.

TNA needs to make money, it's irrelevant where it comes from.

There is a risk in doing new things, 9 times out of 10, it leads to 50+ pages of bitching and moaning. While business gets turned into a dictatorship and more and more out of touch. Support the indies, support New Pro Wrestling.
