Who the hells next? Its going to be incredibly difficult to top that, I think 'taker is going to stretch this thing to WM30.

Only two people I'd want to see 'taker face next, Lesnar and Cena - no one else can compare or is of the star power to be one of taker's final WM opponents.

:lol What a silly suggestion. Miz should not be anywhere near the Streak. He is not a legitimate threat whatsoever. There are only three people who I perceive to be legitimate threats to the Streak, and who I would like to challenge for it: Brock Lesnar, John Cena and the Rock.

 

It should end 20-0. Have Kane put him down at Survivor Series, the place that he came in, and then establish Kane a little better for the few years that he has left.

 

I think Taker will go one more time with Brock Lesnar.

 

I would love to see that match. But honestly at this point in Takers career Brock would probably break him in the ring.

Criticism of The Streak

The Undertaker's Streak has its fair share of legitimate credit. It's one of the greatest features of WM each year. But there are some points about it that make it wrong, unfair, bad for business. Here are the points:

The result of The Undertaker's match at WM is always predictable because we know they won't end the streak. Although the match is great to watch, it would be greater if the result was unpredictable.

I think no pro wrestler should be made to look immortal, it makes things too unrealistic. With WM being the only event that Undertaker participates in now, it makes him invincible, unbeatable.

He won't be putting anyone over if The Streak is to be kept alive. Even if he wrestles at another event and puts someone over there, it won't be as big as putting over at WM because the biggest stars should rise at the biggest stage.

Lastly, it is simply unfair that great wrestlers like Triple H, Shawn Michaels(who's even greater than taker) have to lose to him on numerous occasions. Under normal circumstances, if Taker and HBK wrestled 2 big matches, both would get to win one. But Shawn lost both of the big matches because of the WWE's obsession with The Streak. He made them the greatest matches ever, he deserved to win.

Why should he end the streak he has been one of the hardest workers for the company its not as if he has been slacking off for the last 20 years. Plus the gimmick of the Undertaker is that he is immortal. Also those matches with HBK were two of the greatest matches ever,Michael's was happy to end his career in such a way. And Taker mania matches are not predictable numerous times during the first taker Michael's match and during the HHH match when Michael's gave him sweet chin music and the game gave him a a pedigree i thought it was over.

I think Brock and John Cena both would really good on his resume. Lets say he faces Brock at WM29 and then goes onto to face Cena at Wrestlemania 30.

I think he could certainly do it but I honestly think he is done. There is nothing left to prove for Taker. His last 4 Mania matches were all telling a simple story. Taker CANNOT be beaten at Mania. You'd have to kill him to win...so what would be the point in more matches?

Possible, but unnecessary. Like said above, he has nothing left to prove. He's done it all and there's really no point in continuing beyond what's already been done.

How do you sell a nearfall at Mania and have people believe it after what they've just seen? I'll admit it, there were certain times in that match...they had me. This is so true. Tyrion taking after his namesake yet again. I mean, there were times that I thought and (oh noes, I'm flame bait) hoped Trips pinned Taker, ESPECIALLY after the SCM Pedigree combo. They still sold everything well, although it's unbelieveable Taker had more energy than the game at the end. Yeah, it's still a toss up for me, as Taker does put on a great show, to see him face Brock. I think those two actually have bad blood, so I really wouldn't advise it, but if anyone I felt was credible enough to take the streak it would be Brock or Sheamus (as he'd have a long decent career and huge bump from taking the streak and be good for business). I think I have one more chance to suspend my disbelief for the fun of having one of those two take on Taker, but damn that HHH match was cheap.

Of course he can. WM28 proved Undertaker can still go and deliver the best match by far in the whole company.

I expect him to go to Wrestlemania 30. It will probably be based around his retirement and Hall of Fame induction, much like Ric Flair. Wrestlemania 30 will be all about The Undertaker.

Yeah, going against Cena at Wrestlemania 30 is like having your own private Andre vs Hogan as your swansong. That would be an honor to watch, I agree.

I have no idea who's he gonna face at WM 29, though. I just hope it's not another rematch with Kane or Orton or even Lord Tensai. Enough is enough. They need something new. I wish Borden would just sign with WWE once his TNA contract is over this year. He already stated he partially regretted not accepting Vince's offer to face Taker at WM 27 last year, WM 29 would be a prime time and may very well be the last chance for Taker vs Sting to ever happen.

Taker already fought Hogan, Austin, Rock, Bret, Cena, Warrior, Angle, Lesnar, and Mankind outside Wrestlemania. Taker already defeated Snuka, Roberts, Flair, HHH three times, HBK twice, Kane twice, Nash, Sid, Show, Orton, Batista, and Edge at Wrestlemania. Really, the only gigantic name he's left to face is Sting. Screw Goldberg, he was never relevant for a long time anyway. Sting vs Taker needs to happen at Wrestlemania 29.

Sting vs Taker seems like the only smart choice left. After that though, time to pack it in before he becomes the next hogan.

As long as Taker enjoys to wrestle and can still wrestle I don't see why not. He looked good a Mania. It would be nice if he worked out some more to get some muscle back but even if he doesn't he can still perform 5 star matches. Cena has to be like a HHH, Orton or Hogan level heel for me to accept him breaking the streak.

I'd say Cena losing to Rock now makes him a less credible contender. The whole reason you'd believe Cena could end the streak was because he was a superman that the WWE would put over anyone and everyone.

With an Era having been ended now I'd love to see one of 2 challengers next year for the streak with the streak actually being ended and the rub being given...

1- CM Punk

He would be a better choice than anyone else on the roster in all likelihood just based off of his "Best Wrestler in the World" claims. It also doesn't hurt that he actually can put on a great match with Taker. Why wouldn't Taker want to face someone who not only claims to be the best wrestler in the world but as of late has been booked as such. They could actually build a great story between the two.

It also leads to great future WM angles between Punk and HHH and or Punk and HBK, with either or both playing a heel role to a face Punk and resenting the fact that Punk did something neither could.

2- Daniel Bryan

Bryan is an interesting name to consider. If the WWE spent the year truly building him up as the ultimate underdog, their modern day Rocky Balboa of sorts, this could work. But they would have to truly commit to building and pushing Bryan and do it now. Bryan could be cemented as a top babyface if he actually defeated the odds and ends the streak.

And that could be a great catalyst for a Punk heel turn and fantastic program between he and Bryan coming out of that. It also leads to a fantastic program between Bryan and a heel HBK for WM30, resentful teacher vs babyface student.
