How do I remove Vafmusic 2 toolbar from my laptop?

I have tried to uninstall it via Control Panel but it will not go away. It's not my default on Internet Explorer or any other browser I use, but it's annoying just having it there. If someone knows how I can remove it, please let me know. Thanks.

you did the obvious, so until someone helps you out, you may want to try and uninstall your browser and re install it? It's probably what I would do before I start going all over the net. lol

VAFMusic Toolbar is a browser hijacker. It changes your browser's homepage to search.conduit.com. Its easy to remove using third party anti-malware tools like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free and AdwCleaner.

Download any one of these and run them on your laptop.

Re: How do I remove Vafmusic 2 toolbar from my laptop?

I've had a similar issue with the search.ueep.com browser hijacker that defaulted as my hometab. Normally you CAN get rid of it in safemode, but I used the ComboFix software and it worked like a charm.

TDSSKiller is one of my favorite pieces of software that i'd usually recommend scanning with first, but is only truly effective against rootkits. For your issue it would be wise to run combofix which is a free and an all in one solution for rootkits, viruses, adware, spyware. Combofix is basically something you just let run and do it's magic, it might prompt to download the recovery console from Microsoft which is something you want to do since it uses that to get around viruses that might try to stop it (and some do). Combofix also records a log that you can read after the deep scan.

It's not a program you run everyday and should only be reserved for when you run into a brick wall, but it's simple, lightweight and does the job better than anything else i've ever tried. quick/easy install too.

Both are good tools to keep on hand regardless.

I did that ages ago, but it still says it's in my Control Panel. IE and Chrome are what I use and there's no sign of the Vafmusic thing anywhere in them but it still remains in the Control Panel.

EDIT: Nevermind, it's gone now. It was still in the features but it was removed.
