I downloaded it on my iPad Mini, and don't mind it. Still haven't picked it up for my iPhone 4, though... same thoughts; takes up a lot of space and probably won't run the greatest on a 4...

Well, exactly what I feared happening has happened. Tried to update on a jail broken 4s and it fucked up and now it's stuck with a "connect to itunes logo" and now I'm forced to restore to factory. Probably gonna lose all the contacts and texts since my last backup which was probably ages ago. I have been syncing my phone a little recently though so maybe it backed it up? Either way, my phone is bricked for the time being and I'm getting a "cannot restore, error: 4005". Looked it up and this is what I got...
That's from 2 days ago. So I guess I have to wait it out.
edit: Well, nevermind. Gave the restore another go. The update was already there (according to iTunes saying I was up to date) but I guess there just netowrk problems or something. This time it worked and as it turns out I have a backup from a little over an hour ago so it seems like everything is in it's place and I'm good to go. What a relief.
Noticed I got a few updates from twitter & facebook last night already getting the upgrade for iOS7, though still hearing all the problems you guys got and quite a few others and some say install it while others say wait it out not sure what to do tbh. :\
