Re: Youtube problem, could it be the browser?

I posted this once, I think I should make a thread for chrome/youtube/flash player issues

and if the below doesnt work, then say so. I'll be more than happy to help you troubleshoot past that.

Time Warner is apparently throttling Youtube and the servers have been wonky in certain regions. I discovered proxfree, it's a youtube proxy that cashes extremely fast and almost never pauses or buffers. It's a handy tool for those suffering with that problem, I had issues temporarily but now it's back to normal.

Pretty sure I did what Ziggler posted the last time this came up, and have hardly had a problem since.

I second that. I use Chrome and whenever I encounter a problem, I can quickly solve it.

Re: Youtube problem, could it be the browser?

it's a running Tech joke that Internet Explorer's only use is to download Firefox and Chrome.

Definitely move to one of those browsers and let me know if the issue persists!

I have always hated IE on past computers, slow and it sucked. So I've used Firefox for many years. But when I bought this laptop a few months ago I tried out IE 10 that was on it and I was surprised. It actually worked better than Firefox. I couldn't believe it. I put Firefox on here the day I got the computer and played around with both browsers and for the first time Firefox didn't impress me.

Past computers I've owned had 98, XP, and Vista, this has 8 but I used a free download to where it looks like I have XP when I turn it on. I don't even see those annoying apps unless I mainly click to go to that screen, which I never do.

Anyways, I downloaded chrome about 10 minutes ago and its definitely much better for YT. I downloaded opera to but didn't play with it yet. Gonna play with chrome a while first. Thanks for the advice!
