really, I dont want to get this topic, but what about the quoted text screams "HURRR IM A SCRIPT KIDDIE"? Seriously, stop with the high horse crap. You offered a one line sentence about how Vic could troubleshoot his issue, not offering an ACTUAL solution.

I dont think you need software to solve Vic's issue, but therock did nothing wrong in offering up a suggestion on a tool that works for him. Stop with your high and mighty garbage. If you can't be helpful then dont bother posting...it's like if anyone else offers up a suggestion on how to fix something you've already given input on, it's like they're committing a crime.

Therock, you might be in the Red, but you seem to have a good idea of what you're talking about, keep it up m8.

I threw a bunch of information in there that might have been confusing. All you need to do is see if both of those methods return a "Request timed out" message. Let me know either way.

I wasn't even talking to you "WHINY CUNT". the only reason you're taking his side over mine is because of what happened in the rants section. Apparently you can't keep the two sections separate. We've managed to co-exist just fine in this section before.

He obviously doesn't know what he's talking about offering up 1000 different solutions to one problem like vpn connections (what the fuck) in an attempt to sound smart when he clearly has no idea what he's on about.

@WHINY CUNT: Thank you for putting some sense in BULLY. And I suggested the GUI tool cuz I felt it would be easier for OP to learn how to ping sites on it.I agree the tool is not really needed but for someone like OP who might not be even familiar with command line , it might be easier.

1. I listed just around 10 possible solution to help OP, was expecting him to pick 1 of those so I can elaborate more on the option he chose.
2. In reply he asked for a permanent solotion and I replied starting of with "these might not be feasable options" and listed paid VPN in one of those!!

My apologies I didn't cover any option in detail but I hope this helps. And if you need to know more about any of this , ask.

Just a thought . Could it be a naughty sibling messing with your computer? there are some free parental control software which run in the background(invisible) that can block the websites specified( I suspect this because from the sound of your OP , all of your favorite sites are getting blocked). Another way is to do it for browsers specifically by opening host file from C:/Windows/System32/drivers/etc in a notepad , locate the line "127.0.0.1 localhost" or "::1 localhost." and append the site name than save file. A couple of other ways too. Do you have naughty siblings, cousins etc in your house these days?
Most of what you listed here was nonsense. All the op had to do was check if the sites worked in other browsers (hence eliminating that it was merely a browser issue) and if it wasn't, ping the website address. You listed a bunch of things that weren't even relevant to the problem. I gave you some negative feedback in relation to that, and you brought up rants first, again, when it wasn't even relevant.

Then, WHINY CUNT had to get involved when I wasn't even addressing him, I was talking to you. I don't even have a problem with him in this section, because unlike yourself he seems to know what he's talking about.

I got involved because I cant stand when people who are technologically savvy decide to shit on someone who doesnt know quite as much as them. Did he offer up some ridiculous solutions? Sure, but when you first started doing this, you didnt know everything, or necessarily the best way to approach something.

I really dont think this thread needs to be derailed any further, by any of us 3.

@BULLY: The only thing you suggested was "Try pinging the website address." something that was already pointed out buy whiny cunt. Now why would you re-suggest something that has already been suggested. I think you're the one who's trying to act smart.
You said "leave it to the EXPERTS" and then go on to ask me to stop bragging! Not even sure if you're trolling
