Torch browser

This is a nifty browser that some of you may not have heard of.

I have been using for a while now and it is very fast. And it also has a one click video/ mp3 downloader, it works for any site that hosts video streams e.g. youtube, facebook, daily motion, porn sites etc.

It also comes with a torrent client built in, and works just as well as any that I have used including utorrent with very good speeds.

A recent addition to this browser is the ability to use any addons/ extensions for chrome. (First thing I would recommend is downloading the adblock plus extension, as it doesnt come preloaded)

So yeah this is basically a faster version of chrome with extra shit built in.

If you wanna download it (it's free) just go here: http://www.torchbrowser.com/

I really liked Google chrome but had issues and deleted it and everything to do with it and went back to simple old Safari. It's been good to me.

There's no harm in downloading Torch this eve. Cheers Bully

Re: Torch browser

Torch is fucking awesome, I've been using it for the past few months now. Like Bully said it's modeled after Chrome, so if you don't like that one you probably won't enjoy Torch, but the torrent/video downloader makes it miles better. Haven't tried the video downloader yet, but I may have to seeing as how Real's is shitting on me lately. Btw Bully, do you know if Torch's torrent downloader is private or not? I've used it a couple of times, but haven't gotten caught while using my dad's ISP (three strike rule), but my ISP has a six strike rule with torrents, and I've only used torrents like 3 times since I've signed up with them, my service was deactivated one day and I had to reactive, which makes me think it's public, but they mentioned that I already made a payment on my bill, so I don't know any more.

Re: Torch browser

I'm having DNS issues with the torrents portion of the browser. It won't load that section, citing a DNS error, but there is nothing out of the ordinary with my DNS settings

Quote:
This webpage is not available

The server at torrent can't be found, because the DNS lookup failed. DNS is the network service that translates a website's name to its Internet address. This error is most often caused by having no connection to the Internet or a misconfigured network. It can also be caused by an unresponsive DNS server or a firewall preventing Torch from accessing the network.

Here are some suggestions:

Reload this webpage later.

Check your Internet connection. Restart any router, modem, or other network devices you may be using.

Check your DNS settings. Contact your network administrator if you're not sure what this means.

Try disabling network prediction by following these steps: Go to the Torch menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... and deselect "Predict network actions to improve page load performance." If this does not resolve the issue, we recommend selecting this option again for improved performance.

Add Torch as a permitted program in your firewall's or antivirus software's settings. If it is already a permitted program, try deleting it from the list of permitted programs and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server, check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server, adjust your proxy settings: Go to the Torch menu > Settings > Show advanced settings... > Change proxy settings... > LAN Settings and deselect the "Use a proxy server for your LAN" checkbox.

Error 105 (net::ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED): Unable to resolve the server's DNS address.

making me fucking rage.

Re: Torch browser

ISP might have blocked torrent downloaders somehow.

Re: Torch browser

I don't know then, haven't used Torch's torrent browser in like a week, the developers might have killed it.

Re: Torch browser

i submitted a ticket to development. There's a known issue that they're apparently working on, that affects a limited number of users.
