Barebones PC?

I've been looking for a decent gaming pc for the last few months, because my current laptop is shit and can only handle mmos, and a few AAA games. I came across something called a Barebones PC on eBay, and I was wondering what exactly that is. Is it a built it yourself pc, or is it pre-built? Some help would be appreciated.

Re: Barebones PC?

the wiki sums it up best:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barebone_computer

Most "barebones" PCs, in my experience, are unassembled parts that you need to assemble yourself. If you want assistance with picking parts for a PC, I can help you out. If you need help assembling the computer, let me know. I could either build one for you, or I could help you along the way, depending on how confident you are in your ability to put the pieces together.

Re: Barebones PC?

I bought this last week and while I don't know if it's good enough for gaming, I'm very happy with it:

http://www.amazon.com/Foxconn-NTA350.../dp/B00556F8BU

This particular one you do need to buy RAM and a disk separately and put them in yourself, but it's nothing complicated.

i think i might just buy a complete set, it's rather confusing, I saw one on ebay that was about the size of a PS2 slim.

That's fairly decent for the price, it has an AMD Raedon card, it can play quite a few AAA titles.
