I have tons of different ppvs, raws, nitros etc. and i want to make my own custom video comps of certain matches and promos or whatever else. How do you edit the videos and keep parts of it to add to a comp? What software would i need? For example say i wanted to put Bret vs Austin from Mania 13 on a comp with Benoit vs Angle from RR 03. How would i do that?

Assuming you already have the video file, you'd need a video splitter. Personally, I use Boilsoft Video Splitter. Load the video in your program (again, I'm only familiar with Boilsoft), and enter the start time and end time for the split, and press split. This will take about a minute max.

If you're intending on making a DVD, you'd need a program that can make DVD files. I personally use ConvertXToDVD, because it's the only one that works for me. When they're made, use Imgburn to "Create image file from files/folders" using the VIDEO_TS, and AUDIO_TS files. then use Imgburn again to burn the .ISO file that Imgburn creates to a disc.

It's not a hard thing to do, I've done it dozens of times. It can be time consuming though, because typically making the DVD folders takes about 2 hours. And if you only have the DVD of the event, you'd need to rip it, which can take anywhere from half an hour to two hours.

Personally, I'd try to use videos with a width/height of 400 at a minimum. Personally, it can lose quality if it's any smaller.

Yes, that helped a lot actually. So once i use the video splitter does it save it as a separate file for me? Then i could go back an add that file to a dvd. Also does the dvd burning software you mentioned allow you to create menus? I have Roxio and sometimes the titles get blurred together. Also about how much do these software cost?

Yeah, a pop up will come up and ask you what you want to save it as.

It does allow you to create menus. Nothing really specific though. Depending on the template you pick, you can change the font, background, music that plays in the background, etc. You just have to play around with it to see what allows you to do what. It's a little confusing at first but I got the hang of it quickly.

Not sure about the cost. I downloaded both of them. I believe they're both around $30-$50 though.

DVDShrink is a great little prpgram too for isolating and selecting one section of a DVD, like a specific match, then you can easily save that section/match to a DVD Folder..
