Re: Windows 7 vs. Windows 8
Absolutely love Win8! It has replaced Win7 on both of my Desktops and my laptop. None of them are touchscreen but I don't need that anyways. I will not be going back to Win7.
I will admit I was a bit turned off on it at the beginning because it was quite different than what I was used to. Just looking back through the history of windows I saw that the little start button, which some people complain about being missing (but can put back in), has been the same since 1995! Once I learned how they changed things around and how to navigate I'm quite happy that they are finally changing things up.
Though, if someone is happy with using Win7 then they should probably stick with it till Win9 or 10. Win7 is a fantastic OS IMO. The only downside with waiting to upgrade is by the time 9/10 comes out and a user is ready to upgrade.. Well, who knows how much more difficult it will be for those people to learn the new OS if they stuck with Win7. Those who moved on to Win8 will have quite an advantage knowing how Windows has progressed.
