My Computer Build
Ok, I just bought it all on Newegg (free 2 day shipping too!)
thermal gel
cd drive
graphics card
power supply

it was $1,331 all together. opinions?

No monitor yet as I have an old one for now. Also, I get windows 8 for free from University of Pitsburgh, so I'm taken care of there.

Re: My Computer Build
Computer seems fine, I would have went with a solid state drive personally, but that's not a big deal as you can add that later. Checked out video card. It bench is okay, good ammount of ram, decent power supply, perfectly adequate for gaming. Keyboard looks a bit average. Motherboard seems okay with upgrade potential. As far as keyboard and mouses go, I'd recommend Logitech (perhaps the mx series?" especially for gaming. Didn't see your mouse on there. I would stay away from windows 8 for now. At least until they iron out the kinks. Seems unstable at best, at least going on the reports I read. But that's the norm when a new o/s is released.

Re: My Computer Build
my only concerns are if the parts I bought not being compatible with each other. Like, the motherboard not working with the power supply or the power supply not being enough for the case. but since a bunch of them were combo deals, it's pretty much guaranteed.

Re: My Computer Build
Supports atx12v. Power supply is fine

Re: My Computer Build
I've read around that (even with 32 gb possibility of the motherboard) you can only tap into like 16 gb of it. anything passed 16 is just wasted. Is this true? or is it game dependent.

Re: My Computer Build
Some os's only support 16 gb of ram. (or less) If you are using windows 8 64, that should be a non issue.
