Best HDMI - DVI cable?
 

I've been looking for one of these for the past few days and have noticed the range in price. I've seen them anywhere between £10-£90.. is there much difference if I pay more?

ok, for ALL my cable needs, I stopped using big box stores (best buy, radio shack, etc.) They charge you about 500% what the cable cost. Take a look on http://www.monoprice.com, their cables are solid, and are WAY more affordable than any chain store will ever be.

Every single one of my devices at home that needs a cable is being powered by the cables from monoprice. I dont know if they ship internationally, but give it a check.

Over the years of buying monitors / graphic cards etc I've accumulated various adapters. At the moment I've got a DVI to HDMI converter, it goes straight into the DVI port on the Desktop/Laptop and the other end fits an HDMI cable. I purchased a 5M cable for next to nothing and fished it round to my TV for films etc.

Might be worth looking at an adapter + cable, could be cheaper rather than one actual cable that has DVI one side and HDMI the other.

Basically the difference is very minimal. You can find many good non name brand cables online and even some name brand ones quite a bit cheaper than in store.
