Fake Facebook account question

For weeks someone sends me and my friends some stupid messages on Facebook using a fake account and he obviously knows us because of some details in his messages.

I know that we can report this account and I know also that Facebook will never give us his IP but I have another question.
Is there any way where you can find out how many profiles have the same IP/are used from the same computer?
For example if I create a Barack Obama fake account and troll someone is there any possibility that they can find out that the Obama account was used from my computer?
Are there some tools, a trick or will even Facebook give you the info if you ask them?

Re: Fake Facebook account question

You could probably just ask the employees of facebook to look it up.

Sounds like Dual Shock wants to troll and not get caught.

Doesn't Facebook have a block feature? If so use that.

Re: Fake Facebook account question

Depends on if they're spoofing their IP address or not.

Re: Fake Facebook account question

Just hack that account and delete it. Like I did with a fake account of me.

Re: Fake Facebook account question

I think there will be more than likely be something, but being able to use it will be a different matter.

I would suggest block them.

Or, maybe create or find a website that logs every ip address and link them to it with "is this you?" beside it. Hopefully their curiosity will get the better of them, they click the link, nothing happens, you get another abusive message and then you go onto the site and as they're the only one who clicked your link, you should have their IP address.

Re: Fake Facebook account question

I can report it or block it but I am curious to know who it is. It would be nice to know if is there is a feature how to find out how many accounts are used from one computer

Re: Fake Facebook account question

I'm sure police can track the IP adress and the location of the computer.

Re: Fake Facebook account question

Not a job for the causal computer user. I think you need to be a programmer/coder to be able to pull this stuff off. And besides knowing the ip will just give you the location, not the person's identity. You may well never know who he/she is.
Also what if the person has dynamic ip, a router, a mobile device or is using a proxy?

Re: Fake Facebook account question

You can change your settings to who can send you messages and friend requests.

I used to have mine so nobody can send friend requests and unless they're on my friends list they couldn't message me. That'll be your best option.
