I just bought a 320 gig PS3 slim on ebay and it came yesterday. Everything works but it wont accept the disc, can anyone help me out? I know this is a minor fix but I dont know what I'm doing.

Okay when you say it won't take it, what do you mean? Do you mean when you push the disc in, it pops back out? Or do you mean that once it's in, it just won't play?

lol don't worry I'm aware of the difference between the two, but seriously when I try to stick one in there's high resistance coming from the console, and there's even blockage it seems like. I've yet to been able to stick a disc in completely if that helps, also when i plugged it up just to see if it worked, I pressed the eject button and a disk was already inside, so I'm assuming something connected to the disk tray got knocked a loose causing the issue.

Sounds like disc tray might be loose, usually there is local shops that can fix em' pretty reasonable.

Sounds like your either looking at tearing the system apart to access the drive or having to take to a shop to do the same if your not comfortable doing so. If who ever you bought it from took the system apart they might of screwed up the drive putting it back together as its got a lot of small gears inside that if not put back properly makes for a major pain in the ass as it all works together to control the disc sensor, motor, laser, etc. Sounds like your disc sensor is not being engaged when your pushing the disc in.

I'm very afraid of doing this myself, I'd rather trust my dad with watching the how to video on youtube and doing it than doing it myself, can you help Outlaw? Like with a step by step breakdown of what to do, or am I going to have to replace the drive? Don't really want to pay $50 for something I can have done in an hour (estimated time of doing it).

I bought an Xbox Elite pre-owned off Game's website, when it arrived and set up etc, the Xbox had been banned online due to people modding it.

When I took it to the store they took it apart and saw where they messed with it.

Wow, that's some shit luck man, but you could have sued them, that was an actual form of false advertising if they mentioned nothing about it being modded.

Edit: Never mind the previous owner was at fault not the store.

As for me, considering this is a blu-ray drive issue, I don't put blame on the seller, but I'm not cutting them any slack either. It could have just as easily been knocked a loose due to shipping. The box came like it got it's ass beat in a fight.
