Like STUFF said, the ability to customize your phone (which Android provides much more flexibility on) is all relative to the consumer. But iOS has made a platform that is solid and appeals to a massive amount of people because its efficient.

I can't argue the battery point, because Samsung is far far better than Apple when it comes to battery quality. Although I the i5 has a really good battery apparently, I don't have my phone yet so i can't comment on it but my girlfriend's 4s battery life is terrible. I would love the ability to replace the battery on an iphone...I can't see them adding it anytime soon though.

I'mma stop you right there. People have been attached to the iphone because the name is a draw. If I could compare it to something relevant, it would be the Boses or the Beats By Dre. They are almost a draw because everyone has seen them every where and it is to the point it is more of a fashion accessory than a headset. Anybody that is in to music or headsets could tell you that they aren't the best or close for that matter. It is a product people are familiar with and more likely to choose even though there is probably a better one out there. I'd say the Samsung or Androids are those ones that are better but haven't got that popular(Until now anyway).

And they won't add it. The same reason they changed the cord, they want to keep people buying their crap. Most laptops have a universal charger and I have never seen one made to support a Mac. Apple, while one of the guys to popularize smart phones, will snatch everything from your pocket if they could(The Mac is awesome though). I heard someone complain about the battery but he can't do anything about it unless he gets another iPhone 5.

Also, tell your girlfriend to stop buying bad/cheap chargers. Those will destroy your phone(Regardless of Apple or Android). You got to stick with the original. If that isn't the problem then it might be just the iPhone. The higher phones like the S3 and EVO LTE last for fucking ever it seems.

Im liking IOS6, like some of the new features. So glad they have improved safari as well. But siri isnt as great as I thought it would be.

I 100000% agree that for someone who likes to tinker with their phone and personalize everything, Android is the far better choice. But with all of that 'openness' comes instability. I have been a smartphone junkie since the Palm days, I know how fun customizing, rooting and flashing can be. But I'm done with all of that. Constant flashing when a new Android OS comes out, adding battery life, making the phone a tick snappier, just to go and reflash a new 'better' ROM a month later. I'm an old man now, I don't want to deal with that stuff anymore. I can't emphasize enough how this phone 'just works.' Looking through reddit, some iphone 5 users are complaining about a bad pixel line in the keyboard when purchasing apps. Like its the end of the world. Because we expect perfection, a minor glitch like that is unheard of.

When I get daring and want to personalize my phone I jailbreak, but it makes the phone less stable to some degree and I usually end up removing the jailbreak.

Yes I got it release day, its fast as hell. Colors are much noticeably better, much more than Apple implied. I love it.
