there is this stigma surrounding Android devices that they take metaphysics doctorate students to operate. I'm not really sure where this comes from.

The S3 is as simple, or simpler to operate than an iPhone. But the selling point of the iOS devices is that people know the brand and are familiar with the product. People have a tendency to fear what's new, so Android is some big scary beast to these people, which it shouldnt be. Android is great platform, and IMO offers just as much to mobile devices (if not more) than iOS can.

If you have never used any smartphone before, the S3 will take more time to get use to than if you used the iPhone, but both are equally good.
