What brand of TV do you prefer for picture quality?
I have a Panasonic 32 inch LCD 720p that's 4 years old. My friend just bought a new and cheap 32 inch LCD 720p I think Dynex is the brand. My picture on cable and games looks much better than his. I guess you get what youpay for. Has anyone else noticed that major brand tv's give a better picture than cheaper tv's with the same specs? What's the best tv anyone has seen?

Dynex is best buys proprietary brand. It's always known to be utter shit.
And of course major brand televisions will be better than generic bullshit. They're major brands for a reason

I have always brought Sanyo and love them since the very first big fat TVS to HDTVs, I have a 47inch in the living room which is just awesome and a 31.5 inch in my room. Both look good, at my sisters, she have about a 32 inch I think and the brand is a offbrand, Orion or something like that. The HD looks much better on Sanyo than that tv.

Have a 26" Vizio in my bedroom. Don't have an HD box...YET, but from a video game perspective it's BEAUTIFUL and from what I've seen from Vizio's outside my house, they're amazing.

I have a 47' Vizio and it's fucking great, but I've heard there's better brands out there. I'm more than happy, though.

Re: What brand of TV do you prefer for picture quality?
I've got a 47' Samsung led/lcd/3d tv running the ps3, 360 and pc in hdmi. Have had it for about a year and it wasn't cheap, but for all the enjoyment I've got out of it, it's been well worth it.
I would advice you to steer clear of the "generic" brands if you can.

Re: What brand of TV do you prefer for picture quality?
Vizio and Sanyo use Samsung panels in their TV's so your picture quality will be almost identical for a lower cost. However sound and other features will be different. In fact a lot of cheaper brands (but not all) use panels from other more reputable brands, you just have to find a sales person that won't bullshit you and will give you the accurate information.
I've got a 42 inch Sony Bravia 1080p LED TV and it's outstanding. I love it so much I will only be buying Sony from now on. It's not just the picture quality, but the sound is superb and has a large number of different presets for different requirements (Sport, Cinema, Gaming etc.) for both picture and sound. Plus a bunch of other features that I use regularly and love.
