Exclamation Which of These Two TVs Should I Buy?

I'm not savvy enough to know which TV would be better for me. My biggest priorities are it lasting a number of years and the picture quality. Thanks and rep for anyone who tries to help. :bo

Well as someone who works part time at best buy still in their home theater area I would never ever recommend an insignia for anyone with a concern about picture quality. the parts we use on that tv are easily 2 to 3 years old. we use the most stripped down software by Toshiba and we scale back the color to an awful rate. their will be no shades of colors only solid blobs. we make it to be the cheapest shit we can offer. I would 150,000% go with the Samsung just better made, will look better, and sound better by far.

Wow, Insignia sounds awful! Thanks so much for your honesty, man.

No worries man, I'm not commission and I refuse to sell shit to people. its how I work when I'm there. ill give you the info you ask for tell you what I think but its your pick but I would never in a million years recommend an Insignia, RCA, or Westinghouse. I'm not even a huge Samsung fan but man is that a way better TV. let me know if you need anything else.

go with the samsung, top of the line picture quality. i bought a 42 inch led tv in 2012, no problems, no complaints. almost everyone whose seen it has commented on how good the picture is, and i haven't seen a better picture myself.

Go with Samsung. I think pretty much every TV in my house is Samsung & none of them have let me down

That's pretty good of you to be honest with people. I think we are lacking that at the Best Buy's around here. And thanks again!

Thanks. Glad to hear this. I actually have a Samsung, and it has failed in terms of lasting. However, it's good to know that's not the norm, because Samsung products do seem to be much better priced than other brands.

Taking advantage of this opportunity then. What are the brands that you'd recommend the most? I thought Samsung was the best brand but there seems to be better ones out there according to you. So I'd love to know man since I'm thinking of purchasing a new TV soon. All the TVs in my house are Samsung btw.

Pure picture quality Sony has everyone beat. Samsung has the best smart engine and secondary features but they oversaturate blue and hide their true refresh rate and only show their clear motion rate bullshit. LG probably the best in between Sony and Samsung. Really good picture great calibration tools and solid smart features. Then you have your mid level sets Sharp and Vizio they both have ok pictures but have issues with color uniformity Vizio has better lighting cause it's full array but Sharp are made better and have more models. Vizio also this year fudged their refresh rate as well So be careful of that.

I can tell you one thing. I bought a Samsung LED 46'inch UN46EH5000F not that long ago and i've been experiencing bad juddering problems. I spend days trying to calibrate the television correctly and it still gave me problems. I'm not trusting the 120hz clear motion rate (CMR) on the television and the Samsung tv you linked has it too.
