Looking For A Powerful 300 Dollar Gaming PC

Hey guys.

I'm looking for a powerful PC that I will use daily and can handle programs like Photoshop and can play games like Skyrim smoothly, ect. Even on the lowest settings.

My budget is 300 dollars, so hopefully you can find something good for the price. Oh, and I don't feel like buying something and then upgrading it. :p

So yeah, thanks, hope you have a good day.

$300 US?
Good luck lol.

Even not including accessories that's unlikely.

Pretty much this.

I'm no expert but I can't see you getting a decent pre-built gaming PC for $300 much less a powerful one. Your cheapest option would be building your own/having someone build it for you. For example I've seen the Radeon HD 6670 DDR3 video card suggested as a good entry level video card and that alone will run you about $170. That's over half your budget right there.

Here's one guide I found that has your budget and MIGHT be useful to you, can't hurt to post it: http://lifehacker.com/5840963/the-be...r-600-and-1200

Someone like ZigglerMark (if he's still around) could probably help you out. He offered to help me out about a year ago. I'd wait for him or one of the other more knowledgeable posters to get a word in before doing anything.

My PC is just fine for what I need but I do plan on building my own Gaming PC in the near future, as I said though I'm no expert so I'll probably get someone to build it for me.

Good luck though.

300 dollars? :moyes5

The processor and graphics card alone would cost over 300 dollars.

As people have already said, you won't be able to build a decent gaming PC for only 300 dollars. You'll need to rise up your budget a little, specially if you want to play latest games. Personally, I wouldn't go any lower than this:

AMD FX Series FX-6300 3.5Ghz 6X
Asrock 970 Pro3 R2.0
G.Skill Ripjaws X DDR3 1866 PC3-14900 4GB 2x2GB CL9
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 OC 2GB GDDR5
Tacens Radix VI 650W (or another ~600W PSU, better if 80+bronze certification)

+Case you like +HDD with enough capacity

I don't really know how much these pieces may cost in your country, but Im sure they are beyond that 300 dollars mark

$20 keyboard works fine for me.
I'd like a nice, expensive mouse, but rarely see the necessity of an expensive keyboard. Oh cool it lists my score on its screen. :kobe

Just a good Intel processor costs $300. You can build a decent AMD machine for around $700-800, but don't expect to play Battlefield 4 on Ultra.

$300? Not enough.

I spent around 550[$923] for the following:

AMD FX8350
XFX 7870
MSI 990FXA-GD80
8GB RAM

Other bits and bobs, hard drive's etc etc...
