Iphone 5s Battery Life

I made the jump of 3Gs to 5s but am quite disappointed in the current battery life of my 5s. I am curious to find out if this is just how the 5s really is or somehow mine has some form of an issue.

My 3Gs just on stand by could go almost a week before needing a change. My 5s on the other hand is lucky to reach two days before needing charge. I've asked a couple people from carriers and Mac shops always getting mixed answers of " 2 days is the norm or even better than most" and others saying should be able to almost reach a week.

I am also running my 5s with basically everything off which (wifi, bluetooth, notifications, fetching, background apps closed, etc.) I could understand 2 days life with many of these features on or very active texting/calling but to me 2 days seems way to short for basically standby. Sadly I have even taken mine in to be battery tested for the known battery recall and mine passed.

To those with the 5s what kind of battery life are you getting between charges and amount of features have running?

Re: Iphone 5s Battery Life

My sister bought it recently and she has the same problem. Apparently it's a manufacturing issue

Apple has released a statement to the New York Times acknowledging that select iPhone 5S handsets have a manufacturing issue that results in their battery draining much faster than it should. It goes as follows:

"We recently discovered a manufacturing issue affecting a very limited number of iPhone 5S devices that could cause the battery to take longer to charge or result in reduced battery life," said Teresa Brewer, an Apple spokeswoman. "We are reaching out to customers with affected phones and will provide them with a replacement phone"

No number was given as to how many units are affected, but we're guessing the company wouldn't have issued the release if it wasn't significant. In our review of the phone, we actually found the iPhone 5s to be the longest-lasting iPhone to-date, lasting almost 11 hours in our standard video rundown test.

Re: Iphone 5s Battery Life

That's what you get for buying a total hype beast phone lol. Get an HTC or Galaxy, you'll never be able to go back to an iphone (until they make a bigger screen at least). I never thought my iphone screen was small but after having my Galaxy for a while it just dwarfed the iphone screen and not in an oversized Note kind of way. Web browsing is a lot more enjoyable on a bigger screen and I don't have any issues with battery life either. I had to look something up on a friends iphone 5 the other day and I felt like this:
