Why is it so hard to find a new TV? (Need some advice)

Righto, my current TV has lasted me a while, i've had it for around 7-8 years but its on its way out. I went on Amazon to find a new one last night and did not have any success.

Any help, good brands? Places to buy one (UK) would be helpful.

The specifications i would like are as follows:

- Between 26" & 32"
- Preferably 4 HDMI ports. I really don't like the switcher i have at the moment. But sadly i feel like you need a bigger screen to warrant the HDMI ports, which is bullshit imo.

That's it, i couldn't believe the trouble i was having finding a suitable TV last night, any help?

I'm not sure about stores exactly, but I'm sure you'd easily be able to find electronic stores in your area. Unless you live in the middle of nowhere though.

If you want a TV between 26-32inch...you should just get in the low 30s then cause there aren't as many in the 20 inch range anymore. For one around 30 inch, at least in my area, it's around $300(around $400-$500 if you want a smart tv(which is basically just a TV with mostly useless apps and wifi)).

Get the good brands. Like LG,Samsung,Sony. Though I wouldn't trust buying a TV over the internet(unless it's actually from the website of that electronics store), cause buying a TV on Amazon just seems strange for me. When I got my TVs, I always went in store to look at it and compare with others(no so much on the picture(since picture of screens in store aren't entirely real) but just everything like the size of the tv,what connections it has and so on))

Since you're in the UK, I believe that'd translate to 160-280 pounds?

I just got a new Vizio 60" smart TV for the low low Black Friday price of 700 bucks. Black Friday is a war in and of itself. If you want the best TV for the best price, suit up and be ready for battle.

The real question is why aren't you just PM'ing The Technology God himself, Vivalabrave these questions.

I've had a 36 inch Samsung for about 6 years now and couldn't be happier with it. Like someone else said LG, Samsung and Sony seem to make the best TV's

/cough.

Anyways, I always say go with Samsung when it comes to TV's. Hell, you can get a 32 inch Samsung Smart TV for just under $400 USD from Fry's. I would look around on other sites for that model as Fry's isn't always the cheapest.

I just bought the Samsung 65" - LED - 1080p - 240Hz - Smart - 3D - HDTV for under $1,750 as my local Best Buy had it on clearance and I needed to get myself a Christmas present.

I decided to invest in a new HDMI switcher for now, it seems to be doing the trick, well the TV's working at least.

Many thanks for all your help guys, i'll be sure to check this thread again when i do need a new TV.
