Default Brand New PC

Right, any help on this would be greatly appreciated. It may be a very obvious but I'm not tech savvy and I know some of you are.

Last week, I brought a brand new Zoostorm PC from Argos, which was delivered this morning. So I put everything together, plugged it all in and powered up the PC. The PC powered up fine but it said the monitor wasn't receiving any signal. Now I'm not sure whether I'm missing out on something and doing it wrong, the PC is faulty, or maybe the monitor's not good enough? Even though the monitor is fine and has worked on olenty of my PC's in the past.

Try this: Remove the power cord and then hold the on button for about 30 seconds to a minute and then connect the cord back and turn your computer on.

Dib, if you're suggesting to do that to the pc so he can drain the power from the capacitors, he needs the cable plugged in, and the power supply switched to the off position.

OP, are you sure you have the right video input selected in the actual monitor?

Pretty sure I did. I tried my old PC on the monitor as well and it worked on that. I called Argos back the other day anyway and they're going to come get it this week and give me a replacement so with any luck that should work out.
