Re: Minimum Post Count for New Topics?

Gotta hit a medium. 50 is a bit excessive, 25 I think is probably the fairest.

25 is just a realistic enough number to let someone truly show if they're going to be a shit poster or not.

Not going to happen because it's not fair to new users who aren't like that. We have mods for a reason.

Good point. Plus like Evo said I guess the mods can pretty easily spot a spammer anyway so should be easy enough to control. Yeah I approve of this idea

Speaking of Evo I also approve of that rep. Tank you sir

Edit

@headliner but as long as the limit isn't unreasonable high would it really matter if slightly harms good new members for at most a few days?

I got away with it.

I take it everyone was a perfect 5* star poster from the day they signed up?
Maybe it's the first forum they've signed up to and haven't quite grasped it yet.

If the thread made is awful just don't post in it and let the mods deal with it! Is it that difficult?

I like the occasional troll thread though. Can be quite funny.

Well, a thread titled:

Quote:
Did you jacked off on Bella's tit?
was just made by a guy in the WWE Section with over 700 posts to his name so....

It's just not fair. If a new member is determined to make a shit thread, he'll make sure to get the min amount of posts to start the thread so it's pointless. Like I said, this is what we have mods for. Also, this is what the reported post function is for.

Re: Minimum Post Count for New Topics?

Wait I just thought. If we allow the limit to be 3,000 then we will have to deal with guys like King bebe making threads

Edit

FFS Headliner stop ninja'ing me

I get your point anyway, guess it's about judgement, not everyone may be determined to create the thread but just wanting to do it for the sake of it. If the limit is there they may just say fuck it. Again though thats in a perfect world I guess.
