Is reputation a big deal here?
 

Okay, I may be a long-time member in this forum but I just recently discovered I have a red bar in my public status :eek:

I'm not here to talk about my misbehavior. I'm here to find out about your opinion in seeing one's reputation points and socializing with people with effect of their reputation.

For me, the rep system is properly utilized and perceived by users here. It's good to see that people here are still able to accept opinions from all users. Sure, rep points definitely gives a clear hint of that person but people change and has always something valuable to offer to the community in some way. I've been to other forums where rep points become a parameter for social status which is pretty bullshit tbh.

I dont think its a big deal here. I actually like looking at seeing my rep bar though lol. I know it doesnt necessarily mean im a good poster but means alot of fellow posters enjoyed a joke or something serious ive said. As long as ive been on here ive never given a red rep. just think its silly giving someone one for an opinion. Ive gotten red repped for silly things though lol.

Yep, glad that ppl here are more loose and are fond of jokes xD

In my other forum (which I will not name), users won't reply or give a crap about you when you have a low rep. What's worse is that people down-rate your rep whenever you make simple contradictions that make them butthurt. It's a major gaming for crying out loud, ppl have different opinions!

Rep doesn't matter but if you are in the red you won't be taken as seriously. People will just assume you're a troll or a shit poster hence the red rep.

IMO, this is soooo lame, get your lips & nose away from other people's arses, look them in the eye & be honest when you post!!! Say what you have to say, if people like/hate your opinion, so what, at least it's your opinion & you have the balls/flaps to put it out there.
Also, to the people sad enough to go to the effort of adding to another poster's reputation, how about you stop being a COWARDLY pussy & respond to them in the forum. To use words & logic to debunk someone's comment is far more pleasing and (wo)manly than using a back door to do it on the sly.
Yes, I'm red, but that's becuase if I have something to say, I say what I mean, I ain't no cowardly bitch who holds back & only says what others want to hear.
