Why didn't the referee stop the Lesnar/Carwin fight?

I watched it from 5:00-7:00 when Carwin got Brock cornered at the cage and busted him up really bad before he was given the time to recover.

I don't think this fight was fair. Carwin should've won that one. Does anybody else think that the referee wasn't doing his job right?

Carwin wasted so much energy to beat him only for the first round...

I don't see the problem. Lesnar was not KOed, he was just in a precarious position in which he continued to defend himself properly. Carwin foolishly punched himself out and failed to actually knock him out, then was too gassed to do anything and lost.

I'm not sure what rest period Brock got except in between rounds which happens in every professional fight on the planet. The ref never pulled Carwin off, he let him do whatever he wanted.

The ref also only stops fights solely when the attacked fighter appears to be very dazed and is not defending himself. Brock appears very cognizant the entire time.

If you break the fight down even more, Carwin only has an 8 second barrage, then Brock fight him off (kicks him off). Then Carwin has a second barrage of maybe 20 seconds after putting around a bit to get back into position. . .and is already clearly gassed even during the last 5-10 of seconds of that second barrage. Then he barely does anything for the rest of the fight.

The announcers even start talking about Carwin punching himself out very shortly after the second barrage when it was clear he had nothing left.

After all, Carwin's never gone to the 2nd round before until that fight. He just expects people to wilt under the pressure and Brock didn't. You also have to give the champ the benefit of the doubt and expect he'll come back unless he's KOed. . .which again, Brock wasn't. :avit:

World Wrestling Entertainment -> General WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment -> General WWE

Seriously, what part of "World Wrestling Entertainment" and/or "General WWE" made you think "Welp, I guess I finally found the right place to discuss UFC matches"?

WHAT IN THE FUCK OF ALL THE FUCKING FUCKS IN THE WORLD DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH WWE???

Everyday, it's either this or Goldberg and a heavy focus on shit they've done that has NOTHING to do with WWE. And to top it all off, YOU ASK QUESTIONS I'D BET MY DICK NOBODY HERE KNOWS THE ANSWER TO. Jesus Christ, when did UFC become General WWE???

Well, you shouldn't make that bet, because you'd lose your dick. There are plenty of WWE fans that are UFC fans & vice-a-versa(including myself).

As to the question of the thread, Brock was intelligently defending himself. Everytime the ref warned Brock, he took actions to defend himself. Everyone who says the fight should have been stopped sounds like a butt hurt idiot. I don't understand how you can complain a fight should have been stopped when the guy recovers & wins.
