Re: NHL Off-season: Seth Jones, it's cause he's black
I'm baffled that the Penguins were able to get a 2nd round pick for Tyler Kennedy and Mason Raymond is still unsigned with no compensation needed (other than salary of course). Raymond is only 27 years old, had 22 points in 46 games. With his speed, I think many teams could use him.
The guys who still are available and think could help a lot:
Ron Hainsey- not a top pair guy and was previously overpaid but he should have an NHL job, I look at a lot of teams and think he would fit in their top 4
Douglas Murray- yes, he's slow but he's physical and large, heard he's talking to the Canucks which makes a lot of sense, bonus for the Swede connection to the Sedins
Damien Brunner- probably on a one year deal but a team like Calgary or Buffalo could use some more scoring
Mikhail Grabovski- could have the same problem as Hainsey because he was previously very overpaid, could be a solid 2/3 center option, I'm honestly shocked he isn't in the KHL yet
Brad Boyes- affordable scorer who could add some offense, has pretty solid hands around the net
Ryan Whitney- never lived up to his potential, could be an offensive option on someone's blue line
Is it bright where you are? Have the people changed?
