Despite enduring a rough patch for the last decade, Brazil are still the most successful international side of all time and still the team most synonymous with playing the beautiful game. Whereas Italy built their legacy in the thirties, Germany the seventies and Spain in the last decade, Brazil’s most brilliant stretch came between 1958 and 1970 in which they won three out of four world cups, frequently dismantling teams through their audacious attacking style. Although not quite as successful as that immortal side, Brazil would endure another great stretch from 94 to 02, a period which launched Romario, Ronaldo and Ronaldinho into bona fide superstars of the game.
But which of these players deserves a place in the second round?
