Sportsnation crowns Bo Jackson the greatest athlete of all time

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/

The voting is over. Frankly, I 100% agree, and I was afraid that fans would blindly vote Jordan over Bo, but enough people with a brain helped Bo correctly advance over Jordan.

It is a real shame that his career got cut short, but the man was quite possibly the greatest physical specimen to ever grace any single professional sports field. I'll never forget the time he threw out Harold Reynolds from the warning track and the ball made it to the catcher on the fly. That type of shit just isn't supposed to be possible. Broke bats over his head and knee when he struck out. Bo still holds the record for fastest 40 yard dash time in the NFL. Had a higher yards per carry average than Brown, Payton and Sanders. Qualified for the NCAA Nationals for Track & Field in college, and simply didn't have enough time to participate in so many sports.

Bo Jackson - the GOAT of sports. Anyone actually disagree? If so, I would ask why and who you have above him. I really do not think anyone, past or present, has been able to be all star level good in such a wide range of sport activities.

Basically, the only argument you can make against Bo is that he didn't have a GOAT career. When asking this question based on pure athletics, he wins hands down.

Re: Sportsnation crowns Bo Jackson the greatest athlete of all time

I've no idea who the guy is (I do know that ESPN 30 for 30 did a show about him but I've not seen that one yet.) I have a big feeling that the majority of people around the world have no idea who the guy is either. Thus, in my opinion disqualifying him from even being discussed in a GOAT conversation.

Lack of Jim Thorpe is kinda silly giving it some thought.
