I believe my first sporting event was in 1993 (which would make me 2 and a half). It was at Yankee Stadium and it was the day that Jim Abbott pitched a no-hitter. Pretty incredible first game. I just wish I had been older because I only have the vaguest memory. I remember taking a picture with my dad in the stands and that's about all I remember.
While being at a no-hitter is an awesome thing to be at it kind of sucks that I was so young. I mean odds are you aren't going to attend more than one and I don't remember the one I was at.
June 20, 1980...Fenway Park in Boston. California Angels vs. Boston Red Sox. I went with my grandfather. All I needed was a hot dog and a Coke and I was good for the whole game. It wasn't very competitive though, the Angels won 20-2.
My first sporting event was probably when i was 7-8 and i was at the brand new Miller Park watching a Brewers game. Have no clue who it they faced, thats all i remember.
