I know you all like watching European football but do any of you follow your national leagues? If so what team do you support and which European club can they relate to most? Who are the biggest clubs in terms of fanbase and why? If you don't, why not?

Just for the record, its called football in Australia.

I loosely follow Sydney FC and i say loosely as the season runs in a bit of a parallel with rugby league and rugby union which will always remain a higher preference for me. So if my league team, and my union team aren't playing at the same time then i'll watch. Don't attend many games as the stadium is a bitch to get to from my place and the standard is pretty hopeless.

adelaide united but i hardly follow it. will watch it more with del piero involved. after watching some of the best quality leagues in the world it can be difficult to watch the a league.

I think the reason some countries call it soccer as opposed to football is they have their own football codes e.g. in America the NFL and to call more than one sport "Football" is too damn confusing.
In saying that though it is the true form of football, as it is played predominantly with the feet.

Anyway, I follow Victory in the A league. They are also the biggest club and consistently pull the biggest crowds.

It's not the prettiest football in the world, but it's not the worst either. The standard has improved over the years, though obviously it's no where near the standard of the European leagues.

I follow Toronto FC very closely. Watch just about every game. I wouldn't neccessarily say I follow MLS on the whole all that closely though.

Go to pretty much all the Wellington Phoenix games. They've been on the rise the last few seasons, so hopefully this year is ours. The A-League in general is pretty terrible, but I still follow it closely.

I watch MLS somewhat regularly , and strongly support the LA Galaxy. The problem with MLS is the broadcasting is all over the place. Games aren't shown at a standard schedule or on a regular network so it makes it hard to follow at times; also I don't think the MLS has banned Vuvuzelvas in their arenas. UGH.
