With the announcement that ND is going to join the ACC for all sports except football in 2014 the instant reaction seemed to be yet another blow to the Big East.

HOWEVER

This seems to be the last departure from the Big East. The conference is now looking to sign BYU sooner rather than later along with some rumblings that UMASS might be joining as well. While the conference has lost some cornerstone pieces they are also brining in some potential players in Memphis as well as Temple.

My only concern at this point revolve around three schools. Louisville, Rutgers, and UConn. These seem to be the only schools that could potentially leave...but with the announcement of ND leaving that kills a lot of the speculation for Rutgers and UConn. Louisville might leave for the Big 12 but I have faith that with the pick up of Memhpis they will be staying

Super conferences are going to become a lot more relevant in the years to come...and it's safe to assume that the Big East will be apart of it.

True! Couldn't give less of a shit about CFB. Unfortunately that's what makes the money so all other sports fall suit with whats happening on the field.


Big East is known for their stellar basketball and that's what I'm more concerned with.
