Mo Farah. Was going to pick fellow Northern Irishman Rory Mac. But with this "who will he represent" crap I couldn't vote for him.

He's got no chance of winning it because it's a sport most don't care about but Ben Ainsle deserves a mention for winning his 4th consecutive gold and becoming the most successful Olympic sailor of all time.

Wiggins. Without trying to bury the other potential nominees, his accomplishments are far better. Winning the hardest road race in the world (first Brit as well), and THEN goes onto win Olympic gold. Incredible. Cycling in my opinion is the hardest sport in the world.

Murray, and it's not really close. He's facing all time great competition, maybe the greatest era of tennis ever. Beat the best Hard Court player in the world to win the US, beat the best grass court player of all time to win Olympic gold. All of this after being beaten by those two players in GS finals, on the same surfaces earlier in the year and being ruled out as a choker. Faces media scrutiny that the other contenders couldn't if they tried.

He wont win it though, largely because of the last point I made.

Re: (For the Brits) Sports Personality of the Year

Murray has a good case when it comes to level of competition and demonstrated great mental fortitude to win a Slam fifth time of asking in the hardest top heavy era in recent tennis history.

It's hard for me to look past Wiggins though. His Tour De France win was somewhat fortunate in that the world's two best Grand Tour riders were absent but all season long he has been pretty much unbeatable in any stage race he has entered and then to top it owned the Olympic TT too. Absolute class.

Actually I change my vote to because people overlook Spurs' triffic first 2 thirds of last season. AVB and the Spuds fans won't get that this season.

S hard to choose. I honestly can't. Which is amazing to think what a great year for sport, but you have to leave some out which is sad.

Re: (For the Brits) Sports Personality of the Year

I'd do a lot of sexy stuff to Laura Trott.

But it's got to be Miserable Murray. Gold and silver (on the same day) in the Olympics, final of Wimble and just secured his first major in the US (the first British guy to do so in a shit long time) puts him at the front of the pack.

It's gonna be pretty harsh on so many people this year though, but what'ya gonna do?

Murray is such a shit Scottish swell British guy.

Re: (For the Brits) Sports Personality of the Year

People at the Bccb will vote for Wiggins, what hes accomplished is just insane. I voted for Murray, not being a big cyclist enthusiast. What both men have achieved is incredible, and in any other year, they would probably win it hands down.
