re: NFL Thread: Week 13 - STEELERS FANS ASSEMBLE

I loved his play today. He seems to be getting healthy. I didn't see a lot from Roddy White, so it seems it was just Julio's day to shine over Roddy. The Falcons will need both to have good games if they want to win a playoff game.

The big Julio catch for 80 yards and a TD was a great play that was even better after Julio brushed off the defender on him and walked into the endzone. The Falcons need to take advantage of 1 on 1 coverage on Julio more often.

re: NFL Thread: Week 13 - STEELERS FANS ASSEMBLE

I'm torn with Harbaugh's decision to go with Kaepernick over Alex Smith. This is Alex Smith's team. It's his job to lead the way. Not Kaepernick. The thing that is annoying about Alex is that he tends to take sacks too much. Also, he doesn't have a high ceiling to throw for a lot of yards. But other than that, he's been very efficient. He's had a lot of record-breaking games this year already. I don't like this. About Kaepernick's performance, it looked solid. But he pretty much put up Smith's numbers. Not sure if I want to keep seeing him run for TDs though. He has one less rushing TD than Gore has right now.

Smith can't play from behind, he's a lost cause. He plays not to lose, not to win.

Smith has to play a certain kind of game in order to be good. Now he's very good at doing that, but you have to play a certain way with him as qb.

re: NFL Thread: Week 13 - STEELERS FANS ASSEMBLE

I saw the replay of the game and thought Kaepernick played well. However, the defense came through big time and covered him for his weird INT. The D also made up for Ginn's muffed punt too. So I wouldn't say that this game was won entirely in the hands of Kaepernick. I know that Kaep can stretch the defenses and his arm is very strong. But he still put up the same stats that Alex would've done. Lastly, he did avoided taking sacks and that is one thing that I will give him credit for. I still think Alex should be starting though.

re: NFL Thread: Week 13 - STEELERS FANS ASSEMBLE

He has the same stats, yet threatens defenses for more. As long as Kaepernick isn't turning over the ball, he has to be the SF QB.

And yeah the SF D won that game. Two TDs and they murdered Brees all day.

Meh I'm sure there are people that thought Drew Bledsoe shouldn't have lost his job to Tom Brady due to injury.... sometimes the better QB is just simply the better QB.

I'm actually surprised the Niners fans here like Smith so much. He's slightly above average at best.

Kaepernick's potential is so much higher than Smith's.
