re: The Cycling discussion thread
Okay, as a disclaimer before we go any further, you may have noticed already, i'm not exactly an expert on this, lol. I watched the TDF many years growing up but then fell out of love around/after the L.A dominance. It's only recently since GB have a serious team now in Sky that i've came back to watching regularly, and i still have a lot to learn and catch up on. So, just like with wrestling, i'm going to pretend to know what i'm talking about until i actually do. Please, (feel free to) correct me where necessary. BTW, I've sent a PM to the mods asking to change the thread title to The Cycling Discussion Thread.
OT: It's seeming that way, didn't he start well last year too at la vuelta but faded away by the end? He's again put his focus here and again looks in good form this year, with a good record on Spanish roads obviously. He's been promising a big win for a while it seems. A push for the podium seems likely. What with those two having had a lot/and not a lot of riding lately, it was always on the cards that some others were going to come to the fore, and it was likely to be one of the Spaniards. Shame about Valverde today though. Yet another reason people are going to hate Sky.
Seems Movistar are showing clips of the crash to the race officials right now, even if they didn't cause it, they are taking stick for carrying on, even though Valverde has form for doing the same at Vuelta?
