So from memory Kobayashi ran out of fuel too, so is he second last on the grid?
He didn't obtain the Q1 wualifying time so he cannot race. Only 23 drivers for this race it seems.

They let Karthikeyan start? He was 10 seconds off de la Rosa, although with HRT it's hard to tell if they have car problems or are just shit.

he only did 1 timed lap due to a hydraulics or something, in that case they usually revert back to practice times. de la rosa was only like .2 behind the marussia, not sure if hrt have improved or maruissa are going backwards.

Ah that explains why he gets to race. Cheers

Yes I believe it was done after Lewis stopped in qualifying after Canadian grand-pix in 2010

It was obvious he will loose his pole and team deserved to loose pole but starting from 24th is bit harsh I believe he could have started from 10th or 6th
ironically

I can understand demoting him to the back. Its to ensure that teams don't try to be sneaky in future when it comes to fueling the car.

Unlucky for Hamilton, but its good for the viewer. It adds an extra dynamic to the race, a extremely pacey car on the back, charging through the grid.

Maybe some of you want to rethink their opinion about Maldonado?

I consider myself a neutral fan of the sport itself (missed exactly 2 races in the last 19 seasons), rather than specific drivers, but I am highly impressed by Maldonado's drive. Told you after the first race how much Alexander Wurz' mentoring helps him.

Anyway, awesome season so far.

Crazy season. Very enjoyable, but I don't think it'll be very long before Mclaren and Red Bull wash away their bad luck and start to get their head in the game. Would like some clarification on Mercede's status. Schumacher is a bit frustrating and Rosberg is going backwards during races. Raikkonen and Grosjean are just immensely impressive, however. Hope to see some good fortune for them during the season.
