Yeah, it wasn't pretty but a win is a win. Thomas had an ok night. He did make the most important saves when he had too. The offense had a break out night with 5 goals on nearly 20 shots. There strength is going to be their fowards this season. They have great depth and nearly every guy has some offensive upside. The defense is going to be solid, but they get hurt by not having another offensive defenseman. They have two of those guys down in Providence, but they aren't ready just yet. The goaltending is going to be a question mark. If both goalies can be on their games, the Bruins will have a very good one-two punch. I expect Manny to start in goalie Saturday night against the Wild. They should be a better overall game Saturday.

I am going to look at this from the Avs' perspective since other people have covered the Bruins. When you almost double your opponent in shots on goal, you had better win because its not going to be that way every night. Great performance by the offence anytime you get 40 shots in the NHL and 4 goals it's a good night from that point of view. Yes, you limited Boston to 20 shots, but not of all these goals were Budaj's fault you need to stop giving up the big plays.

I watched the 3rd period of teh Avs game.

Highly disappointed with that defensive performance. They only gave up a handful of shots...but 2 found the net.

Need to do better than that.

I would love to see Flames/Oilers though. Atleast somewhere in the playoffs anyway.

Ok, I honestly just read this comment while browsing around the net. Made me laugh at the things the Red Wing fans say after losing. Like christ, the Leafs win and you say it's the best they've played in 3+ years? Give me a break.

Live about 30 mins outside of Edmonton. Sorta near the International Airport.
