1. Carlos Arroyo – Israel
2. Josh Childress – Greece
3. Nenad Krstic – Russia
4. Bostjean Nachbar – Russia
5. Juan Carlos Navarro - Spain
6. Carlos Delfino - Russia
7. Jorge Garbajosa - Russia
8. Primoz Brezec - Rome
Still contemplating:
1. Jason Williams
2. Carl Landry
3. Ben Gordon
4. Delonte West

Delonte West went international, forgot where he went. Pretty sure Andre Iguodala would be in the contemplating list.

West received a 2 year offer worth $10M from Dynamo Moscow, same team that signed Nachbar but has not decided to sign yet as the Cavs are still working out a deal with him.

The only team with capspace right now is Memphis, and I doubt Memphis signs anyone.
For Gordon, it's going to be Bulls, S/T (Unlikely), or Europe. However, I highly doubt the Bulls give him as much money as Deng.

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Maybe its just me...but I think Gordon's game fits the European game. They are not as focused on 1-on-1 defense but more on team switching defense. So his weakness(height/defense)may not be as big of a liability to the team. They like playing zone, which is like college defense here. On offense, zone defense allows good perimeter shooters, and that will work well for Gordon as he is a good catch and shoot player.
Like I said, Europe is turning out to be a better option financially for most role players in the NBA. And if these wave of players continues, I will not be surprised if they will add a clause on restricted free agents that would not allow them to play overseas. I sure hope the union wont allow it though. For me, this is great for basketball...I hope ESPN can show some European games...more basketball to watch.

Lakers vs Boston on Dec 25, talk about a great gift when LA kills them. Bynum, Pau, Lamar, Kobe, Fish = champs.

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Fuck, first 16 out of 24 games is on the road. That cannot bold well for the Blazers for three reasons: 1) We were pretty bad on the road last year. 2) We are still very young, I would much prefer these guys get use to playing at home early on, but we shall see. and 3) the teams we play are not exactly what you call walk in the park. In fact 12 out of the 16 made the playoffs. Oh boyyyy, hopefully this doesn't bury us too far

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Those teams are on the most because they have the best star power. And how are the Clippers going to be a good team no matter who they get they are still the Clippers they just don't win. I was pissed when Davis signed with them he is my 2nd favorite player and now he is just going to lose more.

I want to see the lotto-bound teams more than once a year. I don't care if it's a fucking blow out I just want to see them play.
And Cleveland gets wayyyyy too many games on TNT this year.
Oklahoma City has one televised game this year....... what the fuck? I know they're going to be rotten but damn.... Minnesota has zero. ATLANTA who put on one hell of a showing against Boston has ONE GAME. The Clippers who are going to be a good team have One, while Golden State (who has lost their biggest draw) has several. What the fuck?
|
You can add Portland and Denver to that list. Portland has 13 and Denver has 16.
But yeah, it's all based on star power. Cleveland gets that many games because of LeBron alone.
Besides, NBAtv is going to be showing 96 games, they just haven't released their schedual yet.

He Hate Me just admit that you're dissapointed that Memphis has only one TV game. But Im with you on this one, this has been my battlecry for years. That we dont see enough of the non playoff teams on TV. While NBA puts good teams matched up...we are likely to see these matchups in the playoffs anyway. Just like last year, NOH have very minimal TV exposure and yet they almost ended up as the best team in the WC.
I dont see much of the Raptors and Bucks when they too have made some improvements. After a while you get tired of seeing the Cavs over and over again...they are not even fun to watch, with the exception of James.

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Yeah, I am dissapointed about that as well. I would love to see Memphis more, OKC, and more of the Kings (mainly because I love Kevin Martin.
But I definitley agree, seeing the Cavs gets rather boring. it is basically Lebron James against the team since the Cavs' players are not all that great or fun to watch.
