Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Lakers still going to win West, even if Artest went to Rockets.

That's if they stay healthy. Yao, Mcgarady, Artest combined has lost 123 games in the last 2 seasons. Health will be a factor with this team, especially players coming from Olympics...Yao and Scola would be a little tired going into the season. But hey...they were winning games without Yao anyway. I think they solidified their playoff spot, but I dont think it will be enough to win the West.

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Houston needed a little more than Artest IMO. But hey, they won 22 straight last year, you never know what could happen this year.

you mean 23 straight games. anyways, i can't believe Artest is giong to the Rockets. what the Kings got back doesn't give much back in value. having Bobby Jackson back is cool but his skills are declining badly. i dont know how good the Greene is and the first round pick will be in the high 20's. at least now we know that the Kings is Kevin Martin's team.

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
Carlos Arroyo is reported to sign a deal with Israeli powerhouse Maccabi Tel Aviv. There goes another known NBA player:
Here is the count of NBA players who moved abroad to play. There might not be your superstars but together they can be a decent team, better than some NBA teams I would say, like Sonics, Grzz and Bobcats
1. Carlos Arroyo – Israel
2. Josh Childress – Greece
3. Nenad Krstic – Russia
4. Bostjean Nachbar – Russia
5. Juan Carlos Navarro - Spain
6. Carlos Delfino - Russia
7. Jorge Garbajosa - Russia
8. Primoz Brezec - Rome
Still contemplating:
1. Jason Williams
2. Carl Landry
3. Ben Gordon
4. Delonte West

Re: Official NBA Offseason thread
I'm sure Gordon will be resigned by Bulls or by some other nba team.

With the money he's asking, his size for his position and his inability to play defense...Im not saying its 100% but its not like Europe is the worst place he can go. Aside from the fact that he was born in London, Europe has the money right now and with all tax exemptions it make it even more appealing... I will be surprised the Bulls gives Ben the same deal as Deng.

In my view, Gordon might not be resigned by Bulls, but he can be signed by a differn't nba team though. Maybe he can get signed by a team with a bunch of cap space, like the kings or something. I like watching Gordon play, I just don't want him to leave the NBA . But in the end, it's about business.
