Wow...I didnt see this coming...I dont want to be anywhere near Baron Davis right now...he must be kicking himself. Maggette's style would be a good fit for that squad... I think this also brings a lot potential trade scenarios for GS. BD should have waited for options before signing and if he really wants to leave GS, worst case scenario he could have done a sign and trade...and if he really wants to go back to LA, being that nobody is there instead of going to the Clippers, a package trade with Odom to the Lakers would have been a better situation for him and both teams.

They're definitely overpaying for Turiaf ... but he's such a strong energy guy, I think it'll hurt the Lakers more than his stats show.

but look at the postive, Lakers can use that money they were going to offer turiaf, to posey so he signs to Lakers. Posey wants a long term contract, Lakers can maybe give that. I will miss he's energy

The Atlantic Division now looks like the toughest Division in the East and maybe in the league. Defending champ Celtics, Raptors with O'Neal and Bosh, Sixers with Brand and Iggy and the Knicks have D'Antoni and Gallinari. LOL

Seriously the towering new look of this division now owns a lot of good F/C old and new... with All-Stars KG,JO,EB,and CB. Plus the younger bloods Krstic, Yi, Bargnani, Dalembert, Perkins and Curry.

Stop blaming Elton Brand for 'lieing' B-Diddy. Baron went their for his acting career & it's the Clippers fault for offering Elton far less than what he's worth.

Not everyone is blaming Brand for not going to the Clips. I like Brand’s transition to the East because it brings some balance. I don’t think Baron being an actor is the main reason for his move. LA is his home…friends and family are there. If Clippers did sign Brand, the Clips are definitely back in contention so it wasn’t a bad move on Davis part and that certainly put some hope on Clippers fans. I also think Davis didn’t like Nelson’s benching on that elimination game that made him looked like he gave up on his teammates. He’s not going to be a big time actor, even if he builds a mansion on top of the Hollywood sign. Besides there are some rumors flying around that the reason Brand went to the Clippers was because his agent was getting back at the Clippers for not offering his other client Bibby.

Bottomline with Davis moving out of GS and Brand’s move to the east…that eliminates 2 possible playoff contenders in a tight west division. I don’t think even with the addition of Maggette, GSW would be the same..they would miss Davis leadership badly. Ellis is not a legit PG and they don’t have a good bench. That would make the Blazers the only team with a potentially good chance of breaking the Elite 8.

Baron only vebally committed to the Clippers, he can get out of it if he wants to and just say I planned on playing with Brand and I have to make the best move for myself. If he goes there then good for him, they can get Josh Smith and if they give him a certain dollar amount to him they can make the Hawks think about it hard before matching. The Clippers made a take it or leave it offer to Brand so they deserve what they got, Brand will do good in the East and could make the All-Star team if healthy and make them a serious contender plus they can continue adding.
