I think he needs to just shut up about this wanting to play in spain crap and concentrate on what is most important and that is man u. If he wants to play in spain in the future he should've just kept that to himself because continually saying it is just encouraging real madrid to continually declare their interest in him which is annoying as hell when he should be concentrating on football and helping us to our third champions league.

It's the typical latin way of maneuvering for a new contract, as I see it. Sergio Ramos is doing the same thing at Real currently. I don't think he's going anywhere.

Despite all the media reports and Ronaldo's comment and even though I'm not a United fan, I don't see him going anywhere either.

As if the tabloids didn't already love the daily "Ronnie to Real" crap, now he said those couple of words, I expect this summer's rumours to eclipse those of 06, and we all know how rampant those were.

The 06 stuff wasn't rumours though.

That's when it all had some meaning and some grounds for speculation, unless you're just ignoring that. It was going to happen, and it took much work from the backroom staff to keep him at the club as he feared for his safety and wasn't sure he could stay at the club, even though he wanted to, that's common knowledge I thought.

He won't leave yet, but I can't see him finishing his career at Liverpool, personally. He's still young, and for him to dedicate himself to staying at a club, that at the moments isn't winning anything and not really challenging for the championship (not looking to start trouble, just stating the obvious), it would be rather silly.

I just saw the interview and he didn't realy say anything he hasn't before, no doubt the media will latch on to it though.

If he does indeed support us, as his armband would suggest I see no reason why he can't end his career here.

We have a squad that can be great in future years, and he would be the main man in that. If there's a chance of winning the league, their would be no greater honour than to lead the team you support to the league title.
