The point is he wouldn't fit in, he'd give them something they don't have.

My point isn't that Chelsea don't have good midfielders it's that they have midfielders who are all very robust and direct, Deco would add craft, guile and would force them to pass it about more. I think it's a serious possibility he will go there if Roman is set on his team playing good football.

I'd say Inter is most likely at the moment because they don't have a proper number 10, when their system requires it, they have Jimenez but Deco is a level or two above him. Plus it looks that will be Mourinho's destination.

He wouldn't get in the Milan team, because they have Kaka' for that role and will also be signing Ronaldinho to add more flair.

WELSH wonder Aaron Ramsey insists he is focusing 100 per cent on the FA Cup final amid mounting speculation linking him with a dream move to Manchester United.

According to reports in the north-west, Sir Alex Ferguson’s newly-crowned Premiership champions have already opened talks with Cardiff City about a multimillion pound summer swoop for the prodigiously-talented teenager.

The Manchester Evening News says Fergie is in pole position to land Ramsey ahead of Arsenal and Chelsea after beginning discussions with the Bluebirds.

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp heightened the speculation further yesterday by singling out Ramsey for special mention at his pre-FA Cup final media briefing.

Redknapp declared Ramsey was so special, he would HAVE to join one of the Premiership big four, rather than any other club in the top flight.

Ramsey’s stock is set to rise even further tomorrow when he is set to win a Wales senior call for the first time as John Toshack names his squad for the coming friendlies with Holland and Iceland.

Ramsey says he is aware of the hype and speculation surrounding his future, but maintains his thought process is firmly upon Wembley this weekend ... and nothing else.

“The media stories don’t affect me whatsoever,” insisted Ramsey. “Obviously, I hear about it, I just don’t take any notice.

“Everyone wants to play in the Premiership. It’s probably the best league in the world.

“But I’m a Cardiff player and I just concentrate on doing my best for the club. I’m just focused on getting into the starting XI this weekend and trying to win the FA Cup.”

Ramsey continued: “People close to me help me keep my feet on the ground. But I’m not the sort of person who will take much notice anyway. I’m level-headed, so I don’t let these sort of things affect me.”

Pompey chief Redknapp joined the growing clamour of people talking up Ramsey when he said yesterday: “Aaron is a very special player, make no mistake about that.

“He is going to go to one of the big four at some stage of his career ... Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea or Liverpool.

“There is no question about it that he is of that quality.”

If Ramsey does join United one day, it would give him the chance to follow in the footsteps of his footballing idol Ryan Giggs.

But he is first hoping to emulate Giggs in this weekend’s mouthwatering Wembley showdown.

“Ryan has won the FA Cup quite a few times and I’ve got a chance of some FA Cup history of my own at the age of 17,” said Ramsey.

“I’d like to model myself on Ryan. He is a player who thrills the fans.

“He has played in the major tournaments for United and has been a great ambassador for the game.

“I don’t know yet if I’m playing on Saturday. I’m just going to try my hardest in training to get into that starting line-up. It would be unbelievable if I could start at Wembley. But, if I don’t, I still have to be focused because football is a funny game and you never know what will happen over 90 minutes and when you might come on.

“We are playing against Premiership opposition, so we know it will be a tough test. But we will just go there, do our own thing and hopefully come out winners. We are confident that, if we play the way we know we can, we can beat anyone. Obviously Portsmouth are a quality side with some really good players, but we just have to be better than them on the day.”

Before that, Ramsey should be given an extra boost by being named in Toshack’s senior Wales squad for the first time.

Having seen Ramsey shine for the U21s, Toshack is ready to take a close look at the teen star in the May 28 clash with Iceland in Reykjavik and the June 1 showdown with the Dutch in Rotterdam.

“It has been my dream to play for Wales, so it’s really nice to hear the reports that I might be called up,” said Ramsey.

“But, again, being selected for Wales isn’t on my thoughts at the moment. Wembley, on Saturday, is the priority.”
Only seen a little of him but he does look like a prospect. Seems like a very level headed lad as well.

Shit loads of reports on Ronny leaving this morning, I have a horrible feeling if we win the CL, it's possible it might quicker his departure, simply because he'll have done it all with us, and what would be left for him? He keeps saying he's happy here, but I don't think this was needed, and it was idiotic of him to say 'we'll see what happens after the CL final', very silly.

I'd mark dangerously hard.

He'll stay though, and keep winning things with United, and I'm sure he'll want to break more records too.

I'm shitting myself after hearing that.

I can't understand what he means by 'after the final' Does he mean if we win, he'll stay because he knows he's at the best club in Europe, or does he mean if we win, he'll leave because he's acomplished everything. If we lose, will he go?

If he does go, it'll seriously fuck the whole team up.

This helps me a bit though:

Quote:
David Gill told Football Focus: "There's no chance of us selling him, no way, whatever the bid.

"Cristiano signed a new contract last season to 2012 and we are not a selling club."
And this is what Ronaldo said:

Quote:
"I don't know the club at all. But I know they like the way I play and I know that other teams in Spain like my game as well. It is good to know that they like my game, but I am happy here."
To be honest, he could just be after a better contract because I don't believe he's the highest paid player at United. These reports came out last season often and we signed him to a 5 year contract and he was happy.

It's very frustrating, it's bad enough when you have stories based on nothing, for Ronny to give them this little nugget of hope and something to cling onto is utterly stupid. I was hoping for a summer of no rubbish, or for me to be confident he'd stay, suddenly that all looks very unlikely.

It's terrible timing as well. If he does go then it'll be worse than losing Beckham, and worse than losing Ruud. I hope he doesn't go to Madrid, I hate them.

I'm still more sure that he'll stay than go..Before this I thought he'd stay as long as Fergie does, and possibly longer if Queiroz stays on. There's more for him at United than there is at Madrid. Madrid are winning titles, but so are we, and we're performing in Europe too. Not to mention the strong Portugese link here, with him being friends with Nani and Anderson.

I say he'll stay for a couple more seasons, no idea why he'd want to go now. If we win the final he might see there's more to win here, and if we lose he might see that he can improve.

Well as much as I don't want him to go if he decides it's time to move then the club will move on as we always have whenever a big name has left in the past, no player is bigger than the club although there's no doubting that he'd be a massive loss but we always recover.

I still don't think he'll leave, but its the timing of this crap which has angered me the most. For everytime he says he has a dream to play in Spain, everytime he's made it clear how happy he is here.
