Di Natale would be the best option, imo. He and Toni work ever so well together, and he's been great this season for Udinese. Also, he'll get goals too, and if Cassano started, there would be too much emphasis on Toni to get the goals as Italy don't have any regularly scoring midfielders as Cassano isn't too prolific himself but more of a playmaker. Del Piero too is like that, and even though he's the top scorer in the Serie A, nearly half od his goals have been from set pieces, which Pilro will be commanding for Italy.
Also, Cassano is a cock. He'd be a good player to bring on off the bench, or perhaps spark up the side if they lose their first match.
I'll still be very interested to see how the Italian midfield lines up. Personally I don't think it'll be good enough to win the tournament, although they could just rely on their defence like they always do
