Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Pistons looked pitiful, save for the fourth quarter. If Boston wins Game 4, they have the series.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Two straight blowouts don't leave me with much to talk about, but I was very impressed by the Lakers and Celts the last two nights. Maybe Boston can pull it off against Detroit. Haven't seen the Pistons play that poorly at home in a very long time. They were just flat all night, except for Rip Hamilton.
I'm very interested in Lakers/Spurs game 3 tonight. I think the Spurs will get the win somehow, but it won't be easy.

People are wondering about the health of Billups. He does have that hamstring problem. Because without him, the Pistons are done. If he can get his health back to order, I expect the Pistons to get back into this series.

Great win for the Celts, hopefully this is the momentum they need to win the series.

It's the best momentum that they could have got. You get your first road win in the playoffs against a good team and in the process beat them pretty bad. They have the momentum right now. Let's just hope they can carry it over into Game 4 and do the same thing.

I don't think the Pistons can win the series without Billups but they've shown they can steal a game when he doesn't play. The Pistons will get Game 4 but it looks like Boston will win the series.
I just can't see how the Spurs can win tonight without a completely health Manu and the bench not playing well. I don't expect a sweep but the series probably won't go past five.

Yeah, they can steal a game without Billups but they need him to win the series. He is the most important player on that team.

What a blowout by the Spurs over LA in Game 3, still predicting Lakers in 7 though.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Yeah it was a throwaway game, I didn't even bother tuning in. I knew the Spurs would rebound. Celtics finally won a road game (stop the presses). The Pistons played poorly but they also didn't quite have an offensive game plan, a lot of poor shot selections. Even whey they got a few steals that could cut the lead they never really took advantage. They'd better step up. In the end don't care as long as the Lakers go to the finals.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
^^^ Same here, I know the Spurs wont/cant be swept. Sometimes I think there's a conspiracy going on. I wonder what's the odds on a home team winning Game 3 after losing first 2 games on a 7 game series. Anyway, I think game 4 is a game to watch, this would determine if it goes 7 or ends at LA in 5.
I see Pistons bouncing back tonight, this would definitely go 7 games
