You guys are lucky...I would say this would make or break Paxson's position as GM. After trading Aldridge and not going after Gasol or a post-up player...its almost unfair how lucky this guy is to have a bog break like this...hope that he doesnt mess it up.

The easy logical choice would be to draft Chicago native Rose, and include Hinrich in a trade. There are 2 concerns here:
1) The Bulls doesnt have a coach so we dont know if this would be the same run and gun team.
2) There are no "unhappy" good post-up players available out there. KG and Pau has already been dealt.

But here's my suggestion: Send Hinrich and Deng in a package for Carmelo Anthony, who is being shopped around lately for Jefferson. Its not unfair for Chicago since they are going to lose Deng after next season anyway...so better get something in return this early.

SAN ANTONIO (AP)—The San Antonio Spurs’ departure from New Orleans after winning Game 7 of the Western Conference semifinals was delayed several hours after their plane had mechanical problems, the team said Tuesday.

The team could not find hotel rooms in the city, so the players had to sleep on the plane, team spokesman Cliff Puchalski said.

“We slept on the plane—as much as you can sleep,” Puchalski said. “We tried to keep some normal semblance of order.”

The Spurs eliminated the Hornets 91-82 in Game 7 Monday night, then went straight to Los Angeles, where they play the Lakers in Game 1 of the conference finals on Wednesday.

Puchalski said the team slept on the plane with the mechanical problems before boarding another plane that was brought in from Minneapolis. The team took off about 6:30 a.m. Central time, Puchalski said, and landed in Los Angeles about four hours later.

The team was not practicing Tuesday.

Thunder sounds like a D-League team name and the name Thunderbirds is horrible.

I know a lot of people like the name Outlaws... But it just seems a little simple and unoriginal for my tastes.

Ray Allen needs to find his shot again because usually Garnett and Pierce can sit while he'd be in the game with other bench players because hes a known for his shooting, but now that he can't hit a shot to save his life, either Pierce or Garnett always have to be in the game.

I think that Allen is done as a high scoring player. He just isn't making the shots that he used to make. Scoring 5-10 points a game isn't going to do it for the C's. He doesn't have to score 20 but he needs to at least score between 10-20 for the C's. I hope that he has a great game in this series, but I just don't see it happening.

Can't see how he'll find his shot in this series. Doc won't bench anyone just so Allen can work out his problems so unless Allen can break out of his slump himself Boston will just assume they'll get 5-10 points out of him for the rest of the playoffs.

Of course now that everyone is yelling and screaming at Detroit for not showing up for Game 1 they'll win tomorrow. That's how Detroit works.
