Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
David Stern is sneaky enough that he will pull some strings to try and get the Lakers in the Finals (not like they need it, I think they'll win anyway).
Everyone's right, just about everyone outside of Detroit and San Anotonio is hoping for Celtics/Lakers.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
My Spurs gave me a sweet Birthday gift yesterday... A Game 7 Victory!
By the way, David Stern can try to do whatever he wants...... The bottem line is the Spurs will come out on top.
If Lakers have any chance, Lamar Odem is gonna have to be a beast.
Spurs and Pistons would be awesome. We would all get to see game of Basketball played the right way.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
I don't actually mind the finals match up possibilities as long as it is not Detroit/Spurs:
- Boston/San Antonio
- Boston/Los Angeles, or
- Detroit/Los Angeles would be pretty sweet.

Lamar may be a key factor in the game, but as long we can stop Ginobli from shooting we have a big chance. Kobe will have no mercy with the spurs. My prediction is a 4-3.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Am I the only one who wouldn't mind a Spurs/Pistons final?
They've been two of the most fundamentally sound basketball teams for the past number of years now and you can't take anything away from the character and determination of both teams.
But what I am picking is Boston in seven games, and the Spurs in six.
The Spurs-Lakers series intrigues me the most though because of the Duncan/Gasol mismatch, and if Kobe Bryant can elevate his team towards the next step.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
WOW, Chicago with the first pick =/. To me both Rose and Beasley would make excellent players to that team.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
God damn words can't describe how happy I am.
I hope we trade Hinrich and/or Gordon for a big that can score or another high top 10 draft pick. And then draft Rose.

Other than that I really don't care.
