Technicals doesnt mean cockiness, that's intensity. Whatever he said in the offseason was 100% TRUE. Which lead to Bynum's statement season and Lakers signing Gasol. He wants to win...Id rather have that than a Vince Carter who just doesnt care at all.
Hater in the house!! LOL Look...Shaq has not won anything without a great partner..he had one in Kobe and lucky to have Wade in Miami. Shaq on his prime had Penny and got swept and schooled by Hakeem in the finals. Did you think if Shaq got traded to the Knicks instead of Miami that he would win there... Absoultely NOT!
You are one of the reason why Kobe does this things... to prove you wrong...people who live in the past and dont see beyond that. I didnt like Kobe when he started, but I care about basketball and he's the best out there...dont care about the other things that gets overblown by the media. So I guess you were crying when Kobe got all smiles and won the MVP. If Stephen A. Smith and Shaq both thinks he changed and deserved winning it, then so should you...BUT not gonna happen bec you will hate him no matter what he does anyway, INLCUDING WINNING A TITLE THIS YEAR.

LMAO. Fact is Duncan has won 4 NBA titles been the MVP in 3 of them and has won with a different set of characters and over a 10 year period. Kobe won 3 champioships in a row when SHAQ was the best player in the league, and never was the MVP of the finals. Lebron has done more with less than any other player. Lebron has no talent around him what so ever and still managed to go to the NBA finals, and take a team thrown together at the Trade deadline to win a series and take the team with the best record in the NBA to a 7 game series.
Yea Shaq has only won with a partner. Than what about KOBE? Kobe has never won a series without another great player on his team too. Shaq wasn't in his prime in 94 it was his third year in the league. Shaq was in his prime when he was the best player in the league 99-2002, and was a two time MVP during those years.
Your right I hate Kobe, but he deserved to be MVP more than any other player this year. Just because he won the MVP doesnt mean he is the best player in the league.
Duncan has done more than Kobe has done in the Playoffs. Duncan averages more points, rebounds, blocks, and FG% than Kobe in the playoffs for their careers. Duncan has 4 titles to Kobes 3, Duncan has 3 finals MVP awards to Kobes 0, Duncan has 2 NBA MVPs to Kobes 1.
Lebron does more for his team than any other player in the league. The fact that he went to the NBA finals with that team says it all. He has had lesser talent than Kobe for the last 3 years, and still has been more of a threat than Kobe has been.

Lebron wouldn't have been able to take that team to the finals if they were in the Western conference that year. Which is not his fault of course. I wish he had another all-star to help him out. The guy simply can't do everything on his own.

It is sad really. They were hoping Larry Hughes would have been that star. Unfortunately, we all know how that turned out and they had to trade Hughes. Now Lebron is stuck with a bunch of role players, so he's forced to do everything.
It's a shame how much criticizm this guy gets. NBA analysts and fans alike disregard him because because his team "only won 48 games". When they don't realiz LeBron is responsible for all 48.
It's a shame, a damn shame.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
I don't think the Spurs will get blown out...it's possible but in a GM7 situation I don't think that will happen as with the Cavs/Celtics should be close. Speaking of which no surprise that home court helped the Celtics. I think Ray might have gotten away with an offensive foul when he knocked of Wallace. Still with that said, Lebron made a couple of incredible stupid moves. He didn't box out on the tip out that should have been his!! He had the position and still lost it. Terrible. Likewise, he threw up a prayer in traffic! (Did he really expect that crap to go in). Damn so sad for a guy that had a great game to have a couple of critical mistakes with the game on the line. I do like the Pistons. I haven't been a Pistons fans but so sick of hearing about the Celtics. Pistons have GM1 and GM2 to steal on the road and they've been good at home. The rest should help them out too.

I really think that Allen is through as a All-Star type of player. He has struggled all of the postseason. This is why the Celtics have to win the title this year.

Are you serious bout this comparison? Duncan vs Kobe now? I like Tim Duncan, I think he's the most underrated PF in the game. But when you talk about Kobe, you talk about the best player to play ever pound for pound. Tim is not even on my mind the best PF ever, I give that to Karl Malone. You cant compare team accomplishments, because of the obvious word team. They both have their share of great teammates. You said it yourself TD did it with different partners… TD is fundamentally sound but you have to give credit to the Spurs organization being a consistently a good team.
Lebron – Do you want to know why some people call him overrated? I don’t think he is, but the Cavs going to the finals last year that propelled Lebron as this “ONE-MAN TEAM” is just crazy to me. Name one team last year in the East that were serious contenders aside from the Pistons? Heat was old, Wizards were hurt, Magic was too young. They didn’t even put up a fight in the finals against the Spurs. Lebron said it himself, his improvement this year was because of his experience playing and watching Kobe play for team USA... that like Kobe he wants to guard the best players. Lebron looking up to him means the respect...if he's as cocky as you described him to be...he would not get along with these guys.
You like comparing stats against Tim Duncan? The only reason why Tim’s point average is better than Kobe’s is because you counted when his first 2 years after coming out of HS and coming off the bench. Its funny how you leave some other stats like assists, steals, 3 pointers, FT% and most importantly a number of last second winning baskets.
Let me ask you one question…to finish this argument … if you have Tim Duncan, Lebron James and Kobe Bryant playing in one team (could be Team USA)… who would you depend on taking the last shot? I rest my case.
