There was reason for doubt after losing to the Hawks and Cavs on the road and whether they could win without the home court. I've even read posts from Celtic fans saying they were worried about game six. Kobe isn't sobbing he's got three rings, he is disappointed though but even he might have seen this coming (given all the crap that happened in GM2 which I think was a reason that the Lakers were uncompetitive in this game).

Overall this is by no means more memorable then the Patriots winning the Super Bowl in '00 or the Red Sox winning it in '04, but in my opinion it is because this is the first time I've seen one of my favorite sport teams win a world championship in my lifetime.

^Just an unbelievable decade for New England sports. Nothing will top the Sox winning in '04, but this is way up there.

I know I'm a little late, but what a statement Boston made tonight. They are the best team in basketball.

The best thing is, there's no reason to think they won't be there again next year.

Boston was very bipolar in the playoffs. How do they have a tough time against the Hawks, and pretty much cruise right on past the Lakers? Hell they had an easier time against the Pistons as well. Cavs and Hawks put up a much better battle. Once again Congrats to the Celtics and its fans.

I am so happy that the Celtics one. Finally Pierce gets his ring. I could care less about Garnett as I cannot stand him. BTW Thank god Kobe did not win.

Now as a Boston fan onto Baseball and Football(the sport that really matters TBH)

There's always next year espicially with a healthy Bynum and Ariza. I am pretty sure Vlad Radmonabitch should of been released in the middle of that game I have no clue why he starts. I am pissed that Boston won but mostly cause I am going to hear shit from all my bandwagon friends but they were just outplayed.

Does anyone think KG is a little crazy? I didnt understand a word he said in his interview. And I really do think Allen should be at least co-MVP...I felt bad during the awarding of trophy, because he was standing beside Stern and kinda expecting that he will get it...and you can see his face that he's a little dissapointed. Allen has been consitent the entire series and finished the most amzing comeback in NBA finals history. Pierce scored 40 in a losing effort so I should give Ray an equal shot.

As for the Lakers, this is the game that I would put on Kobe's shoulders. He wasnt aggressive at all, and like I said in the past...he needed to be more aggressive playing on the road to even have a chance of winning. He relied too much on his teammates and his jump shot...Odom and Fisher was more aggresive than him.

I do hope the Lakers coaching staff gets blamed and pressured by the media more than the players this time. Phil has an amazing playoff record but he has only won 2 games in his last 2 finals appearance and he was clearly outcoached by Rivers on this series. No adjustments, no rebounding, no bench, no Kobe...NO TITLE. Ive got 3 words for Phil, if the triangle doesnt work...PICK AND ROLL!

Kupchak would have to work on some magical trades again because they will not win with this lineup even if you add Bynum. The biggest spot to fill is SF...they need a physical player that defends and has perimeter game...(i.e. Artest or Jefferson) If its up to me think I would trade Odom,Radman & Mihm for Jefferson, Nachbar and Diop. So the Lakers can have Gasol,Bynum, Jefferson, Kobe and Fisher. With Nachbar, Diop, Turiaf, Sasha and Farmar from the bench.

Stop all of the Kobe-MJ discussion plz. Jordan was never in a situation during the Finals where if he lost, the series would be over. Kobe looked average during the games in Boston ... settling too much for jump shots and not attacking the basket ... at all. Kobe should not be mentioned in the same sentence as Jordan.

KG's postgame interview with Michele Tafoya is the stuff of legends and probably the one thing I'll remember most about this whole championship, very emotional stuff.
