Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
I expect Boston to win tonight, I think Pierce is going to play a lot like he did in game 5 and possibly solidify himself as Finals MVP if Ray doesn't have a great game with a C's win and KG should get back on track and stay out of foul trouble. If they can't end it tonight, I think game 7 is Kobe's game to win or lose and I hate to put it on one play but Kobe will do that. I just can not see Kobe taking LA from down 3-1 to lose in game 7 unless he's the only one on and Allen, KG and Pierce are all on fire.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Does anybody know what happened to one of Ray Allen's kid? Reports said he just flew in Boston this morning. I am guessing he didnt have enough rest considering they only have one day rest and he probably spent most of that with his kid and in the plane.

Their's a 99% chance that Boston will win tonight, but you never know because they say "anything could happen in the NBA" so just have to wait and see.

Wow. I heard he has to stay in LA for a while.
Is it just me or the NBA finals schedule this year sucks... the reason why there was a 2-3-2 format in the finals is to give enough rest travelling from coast to coast...and it just baffles me that they only get 1 day rest everytime the team travels and you get 2 days rest from Game 4 to Game 5. Travelling from West to East is even worse because of the time difference.
Not to mention having the games on Thursday and Sunday, and starting at 9PM ET. Why put it on Friday so some of us dont have to worry about staying late for work the next day. It should have been Game 3 (Wed)2 day rest, Game 4 (Fri) and Game 5 (Sun) at 6PM ET.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
The NBA is trying to get as many viewers as possible. That's why it's on primetime, that's why they try not to put it on Fridays and Saturdays (when most of the teens and younger adults are out having a good time), etc. etc.

I know that's the reason...but I dont get it. I agree not having games on Saturday thats self explanatory... but Friday you can argue that most people would watch it in bars if they are out, instead of sleeping early Thursday because you know you're going out the next day (at least here in the east coast) and I like it on a Sunday but why does it have to be so late? Put it at 6PM ET where its afternoon in LA and probably early AM in most asian countries. Its like they are giving more priority in people watching from the west coast.

Actually, it was his toddler son. I guess he was ill and they did some tests. They haven't released any info on his condition.

Re: 2008 NBA Playoffs Discussion Thread
Good first half for the C's, everyone seems on their game tonight, Kobe is doing really well but it's obvious he won't be able to win it himself. Hope Allan's alright after Odem poked him in the eye.
